Continuing Our Prayers Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston Prayer in the Time of the Coronavirus
Comfort us, O Lord, for we are like your disciples on the storm tossed seas, unsettled by what lies ahead. We turn to you, our Healer and Guide, to still our hearts in our time of need and hear our prayer: Heal those who
are sick with the coronavirus and protect the elderly and most vulnerable. Give strength to all who tend to our health and wisdom to researchers who
work toward a cure. Open our eyes and hearts as you did during Hurricane Harvey, that we may look beyond our immediate needs to care
for other who need help. Through the Holy Spirit, guide our leaders to make wise decisions for the welfare of all the people they serve. Grant
eternal rest to those who have died from the virus.
May Mary, Our Mother, who has heard our pleas in the storms of our lives, interceded to her Son, that we may find healing and a prompt end to this illness.
Mary, Star of the Sea, pray for us. Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior, heal us.
Father you have given all your people one common origin and your will to
gather them as one family in yourself. Fill the heart's of all with the fire of your love, and the desire to ensure
justice for all their brothers and sisters. By sharing the good things, we
secure justice and equality forever.
OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY PRAY FOR US
Hail Mary, Full of Grace! The Lord is with you. Blessed are you
among women, and blessed is the Fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the
hour of death. Amen!
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the
Lord your God will be with you
wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

A PRAYER FOR PRIESTS Source: Catholic Herald
Gracious and Loving God, we thank You for the gift of our priests. Through them, we experiene Your presence in the Sacraments. Help our priests to be strong in their vocation. Set their souls on fire with love for Your people. Grant them the wisdom, understanding and strength they need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Inspire them with the vision of Your Kingdom. Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel. Allow them to experience joy in their ministry. Help them to become instruments of Your divine grace. We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns as our Eternal Priest.
Amen

SHARE Story Of the Month May 20, 2020
Texas Court and Labourè Make Vocation Dream Come True.
Maria Aldape wrote to Court St. Monica, Mother of St. Augustine.
#2742, Laredo, Texas, with a beautiful and moving story of her desire to
become a nun. Maria explained that she could not be accepted for
formation until her college debt had been paid off. So court members made a donation to the Labouré
Society, a Catholic Daughter National Project, on behalf of Maria. The
Labouré Society replied to the court with wonderful letters of appreciation.
Thanks to the Court and Laboure, Maria entered formation with the
Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity (SOLT). Maria’s joy at being able to pursue a vocation is seen on her radiant smile as she stands with
four SOLT religious.
