best years of her life doing news
research in Florida, the most news-
warpy place in the universe. She's still passed
all her drug tests and remains Prozac free.
Barbara graduated from the University of

culture shock! She is single and has lived in
Fort Lauderdale for the past decade. Prior to
that Barbara lived in Clearwater for a dozen
years. Truly a bicoastal Floridian. And she
still can't figure out which coast is wackier...

Man busted for 8th DUI allegedly tolddeputy beer is his coffee

Phillip P. Jordan, 58, of Ocala was busted and is facing DUI charges after a fast food
restaurant worker saw Jordan “nearly falling over and using the door for support” when
Jordan came to the drive-through window, according to a news release from the Marion
County Sheriff's Office.
That worker alerted a Marion County deputy.
When the deputy arrived and conducted a traffic stop, the deputy noted that Jordan had
“a strong smell of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and his eyes were bloodshot and
watery,” the release stated.
Jordan explained tohis arresting deputy that beer is "his coffee" and he had some
Icehouse beer for breakfast, reports the Ocala Star-Banner.
Jordan failed the field sobriety exercises and was hauled to the pokey. A criminal
history check revealed seven convictions for DUI in Georgia and one DUI conviction in
Florida.
Memo to Jordan: Wake up and smell the coffee. Real coffee, that is.
Jordan is in the Marion County jail. His bond is $15,000.
