Myths Busted With SCIENCEMade by Patrick

+Rape of PersephoneIn Ancient Greece, the seasons are explained with the myth Rape of Persephone. Persephone is Demeter's daughter and Demeter is the god of harvest so when Hades took Persephone as his bride secretly Demeter became anxious and devastated the world. Zeus saw this so he made Hades return Persephone which wasn’t possible because Persephone ate something from hell so they compromised and split the time with hades and Demeter thus when Persephone is with Demeter, Demeter is happy and it’s spring and summer, but when Persephone has to go back to hell Demeter becomes sad and lonely causing fall and winter.

The seasons are actually the result from the Earth's axis being tilted to its orbital plane; it deviates by an angle of about 23.44 degrees. Thus, at any given time during summer or winter, one part of the planet is more directly exposed to the rays of the Sun . This exposure alternates as the Earth revolves in its orbit. At any given time, regardless of season, the northern and southern hemispheres experience opposite seasons and Month ranges of seasons and Effect of sun angle on climate.

+Pandora’s Box

Another famous myth is Pandora’s box this myth shows how the bad things came Disease and sickness, hate and envy, and all the bad things that people had never experienced before. Pandora slammed the lid closed, but it was too late. All the bad things were already out of the box. They flew away, out into the world. And the only thing that was left inside the box was hope.

Now with science proves that viruses and bacteria cause disease and sickness. also we have proved that emotions like hate and envy come naturally as human creatures. This myth is ironic cause it describes modern day even though it’s ancient. Today there is war and violence and we’re losing hope in humanity because of all these things.
