Principal’s
Message
Welcome back to Term 4. This term
provides the students with many sporting,
cultural and academic opportunities. We
can’t wait to get started!
What a wonderful spectacle Big Gig was for
Trundle Central School. The performance
our students and the students of Tullamore
and Yeoval presented for our community
was spectacular. The hard work and dedication
of our students and staff was at the forefront
and the audience was not disappointed. Some
of our students were extremely sick and for
each performance there were students unable
to perform. The rest of the cast were willing to
take on extra roles and responsibilities to
ensure our performance was the best it could
be. This shows what amazing students we have
at Trundle Central School.
The Year 12 farewell assembly was a fantastic
combined effort from Ms Rowlands, Miss Ranger
and the Year 11 and 12 students. It is delightful
to have watched these students grow into
mature young adults. The staff and students wish
them all the very best for their upcoming exams.
We look forward to hearing about all their
future career choices and life
successes.
Have a fantastic week!

School Uniform Survey A big thank you to those families who
returned a uniform survey. Your time and
effort is greatly appreciated.
Due to the small number of responses to
the uniform survey the P&C is running the
survey again.
Would ALL families please return a survey
to the school with your opinions in it.
It is vitally important that ALL families
respond so that fair consideration can be
given to any suggestions.
If you don’t let the P&C know what you
think, they can’t help you.
It is not a long survey and you can write as
much or as little as you like.
Feel free to mark the quick reference table
on the back to inform the P&C of your
ideas.
If you are 100% happy with the current
uniform please say so.

Welcome back to term 4. This term is filled with fantastic activities including a K-2 excursion, a 3-6
major excursion to Canberra, the Gobondery Shield to be held in Trundle, swimming for sport and our
intensive swimming program towards the end of the term. What a jam packed term.
Kindergarten Transition Information Session This afternoon at 3:30pm there will be an information session and
afternoon tea for parents of our Kinder 2016 children. There is an
afternoon tea for the students to get to know the other students, meet the
teachers and familiarise themselves with the school.
No Hat No Play Although many children wear their hats all year this is a gentle reminder that the ‘No Hat, No Play’ rule will be enforced this Term. Please ensure your child brings a
wide brimmed maroon hat, labelled with their name, to school everyday.
Sipper bottles All K-6 students are encouraged to have a sipper bottle containing water on their desk at all times. This
is especially important in the warmer months.
5/6 Homework There will be no 5/6 homework this week.
Thank you.
5/6 Open Classroom Last term, 5/6 studied a unit on Japan and China. In small groups, students have been working hard at
researching information on their selected country to prepare for a Travel Expo. We would like to invite
parents and community member to visit our classroom on Thursday, 8th October at 2:00pm to see
the fabulous work that 5/6 have created on their chosen country.

Last term our senior students enjoyed their last
day at school. The day started with bubble goo in
the bubblers, streamers and glad wrap over the
play equipment, a crime scene on the stage and
goggle eyes in the K12 room. At the morning as-
sembly the seniors held an auction where they sold
back items ‘found’ on teachers desks, earning
$280. After the cleanup the seniors started work on the car wash
where they washed many cars and earnt $310 for the school. This
money will be used to purchase a gift for the school. Thanks to all the
teachers and community members who tolerated our excitable behav-
ior and supported us in raising money for the school.
Year 11/12
Year 11 students hosted and ran the
year 12 final assembly last term. They
wrote speeches, prepared the
assembly area, and conquered nerves
to speak in front the entire school
and community guests. Their efforts
made the day run smoothly and was
truly entertaining.
Our year 11 students are embarking
on their HSC studies this term and
with support from family, friends,
teachers and the Trundle community
will triumph in the upcoming year.

Sent to live with a foster family in the
country until she is big enough to go
to school, Hetty plays vivid imaginary
games with her foster brothers. To-
gether they sneak off to visit the trav-
elling circus, and Hetty is mesmerised
by the show - especially the stunning
Madame Adeline and her performing
h o r s e s .
But Hetty's happiness is threat-
ened when she must return to the
Foundling Hospital to begin her edu-
cation. The cruel matrons' strict re-
gime is a terrible struggle for Hetty,
and she desperately misses her be-
loved foster brother, Jem. But now
she has the chance to find her real
mother. Could she really be Madame
Adeline? Or will the truth be even
more surprising?
Suzy the cat is always getting into trou-
ble much to the annoyance of her fami-
ly. She can never do anything right! So
Suzy decides to teach her family a les-
son and make them realise just how
much they love her.
It's time for bed, and a little boy
chooses his favourite book for his
mother to read to him. The bear
in the book is preparing for his own
deep slumber, hibernating through
the winter while humans and other
animals explore the snowy landscape
around him. Just when the bear
wakes up to greet the spring, the boy
drifts off to sleep.
