“For the Known” Today, we remember those who were a major part of our lives but are no

longer with us physically. Without their influence, we would not be who we are. So, we call out their names, not to invoke their presence, but to honor their lives and to remind us of their impact. We celebrate their lives through our memories, through our laughter, and through our tears.

Allow the words of Hebrews 12 inspire and encourage you to lives your lives so that you honor God and the legacy of loved ones passed. Know that their witness points us toward Christ.

Hebrews 12: 1-3 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let

us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.

Sermon Notes:

The Comforters: Who are they? The Influencers: Who are they? The Encouragers: Who are they?

Thank you to all those who have submitted their 2020 estimate of giving cards. For those who have not done so, please turn in your cards this Sunday or mail them. Your assistance with developing the 2020 budget is greatly appreciated.
