Our composite doors offer all the traditional goodlooks of timber without any of the drawbacks. While timber may crack, split or warp and of course,need regular sanding and re-painting, uPVC requiresvery little maintenance and offers all the security, performance and long-life expectancy of modern materials.
The tough GRP surface is highly scratch-resistant andwill help it keep that ‘new look’ finish throughits long life. This is mounted onto a composite material sub-frame, supported by laminated timberstiffeners and pressure filled with energy-efficientfoam. The outer edge of the door is protected witha hard wearing uPVC strip that provides a neat anddurable finish.
Security of valued possessions and protecting lovedones are the main priority of any homeowner.Our composite doors have been designed to exceedeven the most stringent of expectations. This is why we have incorporated a number of security features as standard.
All VEKA composite doors are fitted with the neat andunobtrusive 2DC butt hinge designed with longevity inmind, these robust, precision-engineered hinge allowlateral and horizontal adjustment by the removal of theinterchangeable cover caps and come in a choice of 9 colours.
• As standard the threshold is 70mm uPVC but this can be altered to an aluminium low threshold with the option of a wheelchair friendly ramp.
• Upgrade to Autolock AV2 or AV3 Heritage door lock for an automatic locking door which throws the hooks and deadbolts, making your home instantly secure.

• Optional upgrade available for PAS 24 certification - The security standard.
Our hardware specification is approved by MACO, a leadingmanufacturer of security locking hardware. Our compositedoors meet the rigorous standards demanded for complianceto the MACO Secure Plus Scheme. This unique schemerecognises how home security is paramount and endorsesproducts incorporating its locks by offering an independentguarantee and warranty.
Further Optional UpgradesIn addition to the standard security features that will be added to your door, there are a number of optional upgrades:
Secondary Deadlock - Upgrade to a secondary deadlock withthumbturn Cylinder that operates independently of the mainlock. This is located at shoulder height and operated by a simple thumbturn, which throws a 20mm dead bolt into theframe for additional security.
Door Hinges - You have the 2DC hinge which is designed with greater adjustment for doors being fitted into older properties where it might be needed and it is also available.Available in 12 colours making it a fantastic option for outward opening doors.
Autolock AV2 & AV3 and Autolock AV2 & AV3 Heritage -Upgrade to an automatic locking door. This lock negates theneed for a lever/lever door handle. You just pull or push thedoor closed with the bar handle and it automatically throwsthe hooks and dead bolt, making your home secure. Whenleaving your home or going to bed just simply turn the key todeadlock everything into position.
Secured by Design - Optional upgrades to Secured by Designwith the addition of a number of security features. Just ask for‘Secured by Design’ and we will make sure all the additionalsafety features to comply will be added to your door.

This is why we have chosen to incorporate the Ultion Diamondsecure lock with all of our composite doors. When the Ultiondetects attack a hidden lock automatically engages. Even inlockdown mode it stops the intruder from opening your door.

THERMAL PERFORMANCE
The warm foam core allows the door to have a significantly better ‘U’ value than traditional timberdoors, PVC skinned timber doors and steel doors,and our entire range meets with the requirements ofthe current Building Regulations.
There are various upgrades to glass options which increase the thermal performance of the door. The combination should keep your home warmer and could help reduce your energy bills.
All doors achieve a minimum B-Rating
Composite doors are much more thermally efficient than either timber or PVC, and ourdoors are manufactured to the highest quality standards, making them more thermally efficient by design.
