2.3 Procedures

STEP DESCRIPTION1 Morning Roll Call

Every locality are cleaned once in a month, regularly and stated in the schedule set by the supervisor. The supervisor will brief all movement on 7.00 am at the front of Alam Flora depoh.

Every worker has to attend the roll call. Then they will proceed to start their job.

2 Work Progressi. Arriving at the locality mentioned by the supervisor, before

starting the job, they will wear PPE provided by the company according to their job-For lawn mowing: boots, goggle, cap, gloves, apron-For cleaning the drains: safety jacket, cap, boots-For sweeper: safety jacket, cap, gloves

ii. For each locality, one team consists of three (3) person, and they will specify each one’s job to increase effectiveness

3 Mowing the grassi. Each worker should cover 1600 to 1800 meters per day, from 1

meter distance from the roadside

ii. For machinery management, every machine will be turned off after 30 – 45 minutes of usage.

iii. One will do the sweeping job after mowing , and collect it in a plastic bag and thrown at the nearest public garbage drum

iv. Any problems or difficulties will be reported to the supervisorv. After finishing job, all apparatus and machines are cleaned and

kept in a storage room

4 Drainage cleansingi. One team can be assigned at most of two (2) localityii. job classification ; scrap garbage in the drain, and collect in the

plastic bags

iii. all garbage bags will be collected either by truck or by bringing it to the nearest garbage drum

vi. The standard is, the drain has to be clean from anything visible.

5 Road Cleansingi. For this job, usually for one locality, there is only one worker. The

area that should be covered is 3 km per day.ii. One wheeled garbage bin is provided for each worker.

iii. The truck will come and pick up the garbage in the garbage binix. Any problems or difficulties will be reported to the supervisorx. After finishing job, all apparatus and machines are cleaned and

kept in a storage room

2.4 The worker’s welfarei. Each worker is provided with Corporate Medical Card, if there is any sickness

happen to the worker , they can always go to the Panel Clinicii. The supervisor will supervise each worker, every day. If there is any problem,

can be voiced out at the supervisor.

4. Recommendation & Suggestion

i. The PPE are always supplied to the workers, and usually they do not wear them due to the excuse; not really comfortable. It is the company’s job to ensure the safety of the workers, thus, they have to make the PPE comfortable for the workers. Like for the reflecting jacket, the material can always be changed, to increase comfort.
