RESPIRATORS• Respirators should be worn employees might be

exposed to vapor or particulate concentrations greater than the PEL, TLV, or similar limit.

• Work with toxic chemicals that have low air concentration limits, or that have high vapor pressures, should always be done in a hood

• Simplest, least expensive, least protective• Only protect against particles• N-95 is most common, used in hospitals to

protect against infection agents
