  • Outlook for June

    According to the MLS, Torrance real estate activity in May was remarkably stable with data points almost identical to those recorded in April. Trending slightly upward, however, was total sales at 1.9%, the market median sales price at 0.3%, and the sales/listing ratio at 6.7%. From a year-to-year perspective the data is more encouraging as total sales are up by more than 10% and the market median sales price has climbed from $630K to $670K. My forecast for June activity is that buyers and sellers will more aggressively pursue each other as the Fed contemplates raising interest rates sometime this year.
