This week’s challenges
Junk modelling! Ask your parents and carers if they have any boxes, tubes or pots that you can use. Can you make
an amazing model with them? Can you make something that can be used like
a plant pot or piggy bank? Be as creative as you can.
Challenge 2
Remember that we are working towards making Aldborough Primary School more ‘Green!’ See what you
can find out about recycling. Can you make a poster to help your friends at
school remember what to recycle and how important it is?
Welcome
Hello children. How are you all? We hope you are still enjoying
the lovely weather and are finding some time to practise a skill
or maybe try a new hobby. We are all missing you very much at
school and it is really important that you know we are all still
here and counting down the days until we can see your smiling
faces at school again. Stay positive and keep smiling!
Mrs Lampreia has been making her neighbours smile.
Hello everyone hope you are all well and keeping busy.
I had a little idea last week which has helped put a smile on my neighbour’s faces.
Step 1: Using a recycled tin, make some holes in the base (with an adult).
Step2 : Fill the tin with compost and make a little hole.
Step 3: Either place a seed or a plant in the hole. Then fill with more compost .
Step 4: Water the plant.
Step 5 : Make a label with anything; card, paper, a picture or drawing. Then stick a piece of string or cotton wool and tie around tin.
Watch it make someone smile .
Keep smiling!
Miss Warnock is having more fun with her boys!
For the boy’s grandparents, they made footprint carrots by walking in orange paint and pressing their feet onto paper. They loved cutting out the paper for the carrot tops too. My floor was covered in orange paint after this but luckily it all came out okay!
We used a halved cardboard tube and tape to make a cotton wool ball drop. It was fun to make two different routes and race the cotton wool balls against each other. Maybe you could try something like this if you do this weeks challenge.
Remember to ask an adult to help you with any art and crafts you want to try.
Miss Mullaney has been spoiling her dog Buddy!
Hi everyone! Just like you, I have spent lots of time at home lately. I’ve been keeping very busy and making sure I stay fit and healthy by doing lots of cooking and trying to exercise as much as possible. Many of you know how much I love animals and my dog Buddy has
loved having me at home so much. He has been very spoilt! As it has been so hot, I put his paddling pool out and he had loads of fun
in it. I can’t wait to see you all soon, I really miss seeing you all in class and miss you visiting me in my office. Keep smiling and I will
see you very soon!
Miss Burley has been working in her garden
I have been painting my shed and fence (but mostly myself) in the garden. I find painting relaxing especially when the sun is shining. I've also been planting my flowers, I have some lovely colours this year.
I hope you’re all well and working hard at home and making the most of the
sunshine when you can.
Can't wait to see all your smiling faces again, soon take care.
