Miss Warnock's Window Poetry
Challenge:
Hi Everyone. Summer is the perfect
time for writing poems as there is so
much inspiration right outside our
windows. My challenge for you is to
write a poem about what you can see
outside your window - inside a
drawing of your window frame. You
could do an acrostic poem using the
word window - where every line starts
with a letter of ‘Window’, a narrative
poem or a Haiku. I'd love your page to
be bright and colourful, just like
summer. I look forward to seeing your
poems. If you’d like to share your
poem you can send them to:
We will share some of them in
future newsletters or on our
website.
Welcome
Hello children. How are you? Have you seen the news about
the new 50p coins? Royal Mint, which makes most of the UK's
coins, will be using colour techniques on these coins for the
first time ever! Ask an adult if you can look at the coins and
find out some dinosaur facts on the link below. We can’t wait
to see the new coins, can you?

Mrs Khatun has been practising calligraphy.
Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the sunshine. I have been
spending my time getting really creative at home and have now started on a journal. I've
been practising calligraphy writing. Maybe you could have a go. Try applying different
pressures, drawing different shapes and having fun with it. Hope to see everyone
soon. Mrs Khatun
Remember…
We are all missing you at Aldborough. You are doing really well with your home learning so keep this up! Stay positive and we can’t wait
to see you sometime soon.
