Our office is located on the southeast corner of Monument Street and Weber Street in north downtown Colorado Springs. Built in 1890, it is a true work of art and a testament to the structural integrity and longevity of Victorian buildings. We have owned our office building since 2003 and love the quiet neighborhood.

The ambiance of our reception area is unlike any other that you’ve experienced. From the beautiful gold and silver fountain that greets you when you open the door, to our comfortable overstuffed chairs, and a warm color scheme, you’ll feel as though you’ve walked into an old friend’s home instead of a law office

Our warm and inviting design room environment is a welcome change from the typical attorney’s conference room. Comfortable, unique seating surrounds an electronic print board and a Van Briggle fireplace. We serve Starbucks coffee as well as assorted teas, bottled water, sodas, hot chocolate, and lemonade. More like a parlor than a law office, this is where we meet with clients to discuss their hopes, dreams, and fears.

Each client’s estate planning documents are delivered in a high quality, dark green, three ring binder with their name on the front. All documents are organized for easy access and review. Specialized trusts and company kits are also delivered in the same format. Each client family’s assets are neatly organized in a separate, gold, three ring binder to allow for easy access during the funding process.

Our warm and inviting design room environment is a welcome change from the typical, stuffy attorney’s conference room. We serve Starbucks® coffee and assorted teas as well as bottled water, sodas, hot chocolate and lemonade.

All estate planning documents are copied onto a high quality USB flash drive and delivered in the client’s Estate Planning Portfolio. All documents are in .pdf format and are restricted from being copied or edited. However, the files can be printed to allow clients to provide copies of selected documents to family members and trusted advisors. Each year, at their annual review meeting, any updated documents are added to the clients flash drive

We will charge a fee that is reasonable for the planning that we do.You will receive regular communication from us, typically via email, advising you of where your client is in the planning process. From the initial meeting to the review and signing of their documents, you will never have to guess at the status of you client’s planning.You will be treated as a valued member of the planning team. We will listen to your advice and recommendations for your client and will reinforce those recommendations as we can throughout the planning process.

You are welcome (and encouraged) to attend all client meetings.

What we ask of you:Please do not tell your client that they need specific documents or strategies.

Please do not tell them the planning process is “quick & easy.”

Please do not sell the planning process as a commodity.

Please do not quote our fee. Give them a range and let them know that while it’s likely not going to be cheap, it will be worth every penny.

Please do not get discouraged if the process takes a bit longer than you’re used to. Ultimately, it will be worth it for both you and your client

Keeping in touch with our clients and advisors is a key component in the success of an estate plan. We don’t send the typical newsletter or other “canned” information. Our monthly newsletter, entitled “The View From Here” is not only informational, it is also education and sometimes, downright fun.

Keeping in contact with our advisors is very important to us. To make sure that we can keep in touch, as well as help our advisors earn CE credits, we host a monthly teleconference covering various legal, financial, and tax matters. The teleconferences last an hour and we serve a box lunch. All the materials, as well as speaker bios and completion certificates are included. Your invitation comes via email each month. All teleconferences are hosted at no charge to you.
