§ NonewconfirmedcasefromtheInstitutePasteur(IP)Dakar.o LastIPDakarconfirmedcaseswere20thFebruary2019o Eighteen States have recorded at least one confirmed case from Institute Pasteur Dakar

sincetheonsetoftheoutbreakin2017o Yellow fever responseactivitiesarebeingcoordinatedby theYellowFeverTechnicalWorking

Group(YFTWG). • From1stJanuary–3rdMarch,2019:

o Threehundredandsixtyfoursuspectedcaseshavebeenreportedin177(22.9%)LGAs.o Allsuspectedcaseshadbloodsamplescollected.o Fourteenpresumptivepositiveandoneinconclusivecasesfrom4statesin10LGAs:Edo(8),

Ondo(4),Kebbi(1)Imo(1)andtheinconclusivecasefromImo(1).o Fiveconfirmedcaseswerereportedfrom2019samplessenttoInstituteDakar(Edo(2)Ondo(2)

andImo(1)o Nodeathhasbeenrecorded.

SUMMARYOFOUTBREAKAyellowfeveroutbreakhasbeenactiveinNigeriasinceSeptember,2017:• From2017 to2018,139caseswereconfirmed in17States:Kwara (8),Kogi (10),Kano (1), Zamfara

(19),Kebbi(7),Nasarawa(3),Niger(1),Katsina(2),Edo(69),Ekiti(2),Rivers(1),Anambra(1),FCT(10),Benue(1),Delta(1),Ondo(2)andAbia(1):in46LocalGovernmentareas(LGAs).

• FromSeptember2017toDecember2018,276samples(presumptivepositive-239andinconclusive-37)weresenttoIPDakarforre-confirmation.

• AllNigerianstates(36+FCT)reported4,100suspectedcasesin604(78.0%)LGAs.• Ofallsuspected,probableandconfirmedcases,80deathswererecordedwith29deathsamong

confirmedcases.

• Thecasefatalityratio(CFR)forallcases(suspected,probableandconfirmed)is2.0%,and21.0%forconfirmedcases
