• Education Act signed into law in 2015 that aims to:

• Provide state standards for all students that are aligned to the demands of postsecondary education and the workforce;

• Provide Statewide assessments that are aligned to statewide standards;

• Ensure that statewide accountability systems expect more progress for all groups of students, especially for those that are underperforming;

Title 1 Parent & Family Engagement

• Involve parents in a meaningful way in the development, implementation, and review of the parent engagement program.

• Be involved and request regular meetings to express your opinions and concerns;

• Be provided information on your child’s level of achievement on assessments like FSA/EOC assessments in reading/language arts, mathematics, and science;

• Request and receive information on the qualifications of your child’s teacher; and

• Be informed if your child is taught by a non-highly qualified teacher for four or more consecutive weeks

• School Public Accountability Report (SPAR) provides parents and the community with important information about each public school

Our School Day is 8:00 am – 2:30 pm

Be On Time – School begins at 8:00. Attendance will be taken byyour child’s teacher. If your child is absent, you must contactthe office to provide a reason for the absence.

Be Prepared – Have your computer charged or plugged in daily,use headphones to make it easier to hear, have your learningmaterials available, be in a quiet place, sign in, and muteyourself.

Be Responsible – Eat breakfast before your classbegins, wear appropriate clothing, sit up straight, notoys or pets allowed, stay in front of your camera, onlyuse the chat for something important.

Be Honest – Students should be completing their workand tests INDEPENDENTLY

ATTENDANCE• The homeroom teacher will record student

attendance in Pinnacle.• Student attendance will be recorded during live

teaching sessions.• The student must be present during the live

teaching session to be recorded as Present.• Students who are late to their teacher's live

teaching session will be recorded as Tardy (unexcused).

• Students who are not present in the teacher's digital learning environment during the school day will be recorded as Absent (unexcused).

How To Help Our Students Be Successful

• Ask about their learning for the day

• Help students be punctual by arriving at the Teams Call by 7:55 am. Instruction begins promptly at 8:00 am
