THANK YOU FROM THE SAINT PAUL’S EYE GLASS MISSION TEAM!

THANK YOU to our many members who answered the call to sew handmade eyeglass

cases for the South Africa eyeglass clinic. As a result of their handiwork, the Saint

Paul Eyeglass Mission Team will be taking 1,825 beautifully handmade eyeglass

cases with them to MHluzi. We do not know all the names of our 20+ sewers, but God

does, and we thank Him for you! Your skill and dedication to God’s mission will help

us spread the Gospel in South Africa, as well as protect the gift of precious sight as

each clinic patient will receive one of these cases with a “new” pair of eyeglasses!

THANK YOU to our Sisters-In-Stitches and the many crocheters who put in endless hours

to crochet 1,365 Witness Puppets for the Saint Paul Eye Glass Mission Team. Your

and share the Gospel story. We thank God for you and thank you for partnering with

us in bringing the Gospel to the children of South Africa.

THE LEGACY CHALLENGE….PASS IT ON WITH EASE!

Do you know if your….

Estate plan documents are up to date? Wills, living trusts, financial power of

attorney, durable power of attorney for health care, insurance beneficiaries.

Develop a road map that will navigate your Christian estate plan after you have

been called to your eternal home. Review your plan at least every 5 years.

Check that your bank accounts are payable on death. Your immediate family

will need financial resources to continue paying ongoing bills and debts. Each

account has a payable on death provision that transfers to the person you

designate.

Create a master list of every financial asset and obligation. A Lifetime Plan for

Giving survey accomplishes that task. Once done, review annually for changes.

Communicate and update. File your estate documents, insurance policies,

investments, master list of assets and obligations in your home safe.

Timing is everything – don’t wait for a crisis—plan for the worst and pray for the best!

RETIREMENT ANNOUNCED Mrs. Joan Fack has announced her intent to retire at the end of the school year, after 22

years serving in our school office as “Bookkeeper - and more.” She has served our school

and church as a faithful steward and accountant, of course, but the “more” has been so

valuable to us as well! Joan has been in the office every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday,

and may have been your first contact in the office when calling or visiting the school. In

addition, she’s cared for countless students in the Health Room, has been a liaison between

church and school while she served on the Assimilation Team, and currently volunteers with

Breakfast with Baby. Joan’s thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and team approach will be

missed a great deal! If you would like to offer well-wishes, a box for cards will be in the

school office and at church, marked “Thank you, Mrs. Fack.” You may also send them to the

school in care of Saint Paul School 18 S. School Street Mount Prospect, IL 60056.

MOUNT PROSPECT HISTORICAL SOCIETY

LAUNCHES HISTORY-THEMED SUMMER CAMP

The Mount Prospect Historical Society is pleased to announce a new phase in its

programming. This summer two sessions of History Camp will be offered in June and July.

The week-long sessions will be held the second week of each month (June 10-14, 2019 and

July 8-12, 2019) and each feature a local history themed day camp experience for children

ages 6 to 12. Different aspect of local history will be explored each day on the Society's

campus and at various community locations through activities, projects and walking field

trips. Each week's programming is diverse, so campers registering for both sessions will

have new experiences.

History Camp was developed by trained educators and is overseen by Lindsay Rice, the

Society's Executive Director. "We're excited to be launching this new program," said Rice.

"It's a fun way to showcase the history of our community so kids can learn about it in a

hands-on, interactive way."

History Camp sessions will run from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost is $100 per camper, per week.

Space is limited, so don’t miss this exciting opportunity! Reservations may be made through

the Society's web-site at www.mtphist.org/hisotry-camp-2019/ or by calling the Society at

847-392-9006.

All of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Mount Prospect Historical Society’s

Operating Fund.

The Mount Prospect Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is

committed to preserving the history of Mount Prospect, Illinois, through artifacts,

photographs and both oral and written memories of current and former residents and

businesspeople. On its campus in the heart of the Village, the Society maintains the

1906 Dietrich Friedrichs house museum, carriage house, the ADA-accessible Dolores

Haugh Education Center and the 1896 one-room Central School, which was moved to

the museum campus in 2008.
