Introduction
Robert Langdon must solve a mystery to see why somebody killed a man in Italy. It begins in Italy but gradually travels all over Europe. Robert Langdon is the main character and is helped by Sophie Neveu. The over all tone is serious and is a thriller, keeping audiences on the edge of their seat.
The Main Theme
The main theme of the book is to discover mysteries of Christianity. It is to discover whether Jesus Christ was actually married to Mary Magdalene. The theme of the book requires people to think about all the details already revealed in the book. It forces people to question their own views on religion but at the same time keep them interested by showing that some people may not actually want to know the truth.
Plot Summary
Symbologist Robert Langdon is thrown into a mysterious and bizarre murder. Alongside Langdon is the victims granddaughter and cryptologist Sophie Neveu, who with Robert discovers clues within Da Vinci's paintings. To further find the truth, Robert and Sophie travel from Paris to London, whilst crossing paths with allies and villains such as Sir Leigh Teabing and Silas. Wherever their path takes them, their discovery which is about to be revealed could shake the foundations of mankind.
