Confirmation of Acceptance of InvitationAs an invited athlete, your primary responsibility is to confirm your participation by contacting yourState Selection Chair by phone, fax or e-mail as soon as possible. The deadline for confirmation is Sunday, May 26, 2019, at midnight., Mountain Daylight Time. If for some reason you are unable to compete after you have confirmed, you must contact the Invitations Committee immediately. Failure to do so will keep another deserving athlete from competing. Liability Waiver Form

A parent or guardian must sign the appropriate Liability Waiver Form and forward it to your State Selection Chair as soon as possible.

You may confirm your Invitation acceptance by phone, Fax, or E-mail, however, the Liability Waiver form must be signed by a parent or guardian and forwarded to your State Selection Chair in order to compete, and you are required to bring a signed copy to Meet Check-in.

Athletes who show up for the meet without a signature will NOT be allowed to participate.

No Stay, No Compete Form

The Crowne Plaza Hotel is the exclusive designated headquarters for the 44th Annual Great Southwest Track & Field Classic. Athlete’s must complete the “No Stay, No Compete” Form in order to participate in the meet. No Stay, No Compete applies to all designated hotels by the GSWT&FC.

Travel Information Form

All travelers are encouraged to make arrangements with the Transportation Committee by submitting their information to the Committee contact listed on the form. You may submit the form by U.S. Mail, or E-mail.

HEADQUARTERS: THE CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL

The Great Southwest Track and Field Classic is the premier amateur track and field event for the USA.

In order to meet the demands of producing this high-caliber meet, it’s imperative that the local organizers develop partnerships with businesses in the community. Part of these partnerships involves the hotel community.

The Great Southwest Track and Field Classic organizers have established a relationship with the Crowne Plaza Hotel/Albuquerque Marriott Hotel and Fairfield Inn Hotel as the exclusive hotel for the meet. Because of this relationship, we have instituted a “No Stay at Other Local Hotels, No Compete” policy for the Great Southwest Classic. What this means is that you must stay at the Designated Headquarter hotel in order to compete in the meet.

Crowne Plaza Hotel/Albuquerque Marriott Hotel and Fairfield Inn Hotel offers deluxe accommodations at an extremely reasonable rate, close proximity to the airport and interstate access. There are also restaurants either within walking distance or a short shuttle ride away.

I agree and understand the The Great Southwest Track and Field Classic’s “No Stay at Other Local Hotels, No Compete” policy. If I don’t make my accommodations with the Crowne Plaza Hotel/Albuquerque Marriott Hotel and Fairfield Inn Hotel, I will forfeit my entrance fee and will not be allowed to compete in the 2019 Great Southwest Track and Field Classic.

How To Register Online:

Once you have accepted your invitation to compete in the Great Southwest Track and Field Classic, you will register and pay your fees online.

1. Go to http://www.coacho.com2. If you have never registered before, click on: “New Users Click Here” located at the bottomof the “Login” dialogue box, which you’ll find at the left of the page.3. Once the new page has loaded, click on: “Create an Athlete Account” link.4. Fill out all information on the form, then follow the steps.5. Go to “Meets” and locate “44th Great Southwest Track and Field Classic Athlete payment,”then double click on the link.6. When the Meet information page opens, create your new Athlete Account.7. Follow all steps from that point on.

Registration Deadlines

• Registration deadline is midnight (MDT) Sunday, June 3, 2019. Registration fee is $85.00 plusprocessing fee.

• All walk ups registrations the registration fee will be $90.00 plus a processing fee of $5.00 Cash Only.

• Athletes who have not been invited and register will not be allowed to compete and will forfeit allregistration and processing fees.

• ALL REGISTRATION FEES ARE NON REFUNDABLE:

• NO CHECK WILL BE ACCEPTED UNLESS SCHOOL-ISSUED

• It is mandatory that all invited athletes check in at check-in headquarters, Crowne PlazaHotel, prior to 12:00 p.m., June 8, 2019. (see page 14 for hotel information)

• Athletes who do not check in at the meet headquarters, Crowne Plaza Hotel, will bedropped and replaced with alternate athletes.

• There is a $85.00 non-refundable registration fee, and a signed Liability Waiver Form mustbe on file.

• The registration packet includes meet instructions, a competition number, and a state teamjersey.

The management of the Crowne Plaza Hotel/Albuquerque Marriott Hotel and Fairfield Inn Hotel welcomes the Great Southwest Classic athletes to the City of Albuquerque for this important competition. The Crowne Plaza Hotel/Albuquerque Marriott Hotel and Fairfield Inn Hotel's hospitality is extended also to your coaches, officials, and families.

We appreciate your best behavior and conduct. Your conduct will reflect on the athletes who will follow in subsequent years. Have fun and respect others. Adults will be on the premises as supervisors / advisors.

Instructions From the Meet StarterThe number of false starts allowed will follow the USATF rules. One false start by an individual will result in disqualification. Decathlon/Heptathlon will also follow USATF rules. All other events will be governed by National Federation Rules.

Three Attempts for each athlete in the Shot Put, Discus, Javelin, Hammer, Long Jump, Triple JumpAfter the first three attempts, the order of athletes for the last three attempts in each event will be set by the lowest mark to the highest mark. The last three attempts will be for only the top eight individuals. All distances and heights will be reported in metric to be compliant without Hy-Tek Meet Management System.

Meet Results on the Web PageAfter each event is completed, the results will be entered into the computer and will be placed on the Great Southwest Classic web page: www.greatsouthwestclassic.com In addition, results are posted on the national web page of high school track http://www.co.milesplit.com and www.finishedresults.com.
