A NAME KNOWN THE WORLD OVER
César Ritz was a visionary who wished to create a hotel with character, elegance and an atmosphere where
guests would be pampered and expectations surpassed.
His vision materialised in May 1906 when The Ritz London opened its doors and immediately became a huge success. Such was César Ritz’s triumph that he was dubbed “King of hoteliers, and hotelier to
Kings” by the future King Edward VII. The hotel has since been host to royalty and thousands of discerning
guests for over a century.
Today The Ritz London is owned by a British family and is a benchmark and byword for excellence. In 2002 The Ritz was the first hotel to receive a Royal Warrant
from His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales, for Banqueting and Catering Services.

SEEING IS TRULY BELIEVING
Upon arrival at The Ritz London, many guests pause in the lobby to appreciate the stunning surroundings,
before taking a gentle stroll through the elegant Long Gallery.
This magnificent space runs the length of the hotel, connecting a series of dining areas including The Palm Court, The Rivoli Bar and The Ritz Restaurant as well
as providing access to the spectacular private dining rooms in William Kent House.
Beautifully decorated with a warm, golden glow, The Long Gallery is the perfect place to have a
refreshing beverage and enjoy the ambience.
TEA FOR TWO OR TWO FOR TEA
The Palm Court is a striking area of astonishingly ornate design. Its decorative features include floor-to-ceiling mirrored walls, the stunning ‘La Source’ fountain, a dramatic skylight and
breath-taking floral displays.
This is the perfect venue for quintessentially British Afternoon Tea at The Ritz, where guests enjoy a wide
selection of fine loose leaf teas, finger sandwiches, freshly baked warm scones and a range of delicate
pastries and tea cakes.
With the renowned Ritz service, live music and the beautiful surroundings, memories of a
lifetime are guaranteed.
THE BEST BAR IN LONDON, BAR NONE
The Rivoli Bar is a chic, Art Deco bar, with stylish and sophisticated décor featuring brilliant gilded
ceiling domes, patterned mirrors and Turkish crystal chandeliers. Lalique glass panels further enhance
the 1920s glamour.
The menu offers an extensive Champagne, cocktail, spirit and wine selection as well as classic British bar food with a Ritz twist. The Rivoli Bar is the perfect
destination for pre-dinner drinks or toasting a special occasion.
SERVING THE WORLD
Initially The Ritz London built its culinary reputation under the influence of Auguste Escoffier, one of the
world’s most famous chefs and a champion of French haute cuisine. Today our Executive Chef, a disciple
of Escoffier, creates contemporary interpretations of classical French dishes using the finest and freshest
British seasonal produce. The menu changes daily to meet the constant desire to surprise and delight diners.
Every Friday and Saturday evening The Ritz Restaurant, widely considered to be one of the most beautiful
dining rooms in the world brings you ‘Live at The Ritz’, an exclusive dinner dance with live entertainment.
