PRESS RELEASE Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland becomes first in Switzerland to receive recognition from World Association of Chefs’ Societies Montreux, 24 June 2019 Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland, a member of Swiss Education Group (SEG), the largest private hospitality educator in Switzerland, has been recognised for its culinary and pastry programmes, by the prestigious World Association of Chefs’ Societies (WORLDCHEFS). Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland is the first school in Switzerland to earn the Recognition of Quality Culinary Education mark – an international endorsement that is renowned in the culinary world. WORLDCHEFS is a global network of chefs associations that was founded in October 1928 at the Sorbonne in Paris. It is a leading authority on food, dedicated to maintaining and improving the culinary standards of cuisines worldwide.   • international body has over 100 chefs associations representing chefs at all levels and across all specialities globally. The first Honorary President of the association was the esteemed culinary legend Auguste Escoffier – the first Executive Chef of the Ritz Paris, who inspired the establishment of the Ritz Escoffier culinary school within the famous hotel. Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland has a long-standing partnership with the Ritz Paris. Another notable honorary member of WORLDCHEFS is Anton Mosimann OBE (Officer of the Order of the British Empire), another exclusive partner of Swiss Education Group. “We are extremely proud and honoured to meet the high standards required to be a part of this distinguished community. This recognition reinforces the world-class quality of our academic programmes, our training facilities and our chefs/lecturers at Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland. The WORLDCHEFS Recognition of Quality Culinary Education programme was launched in 2010 in response to a growing demand to establish international standards in culinary education. Culinary Arts Academy Switzerland’s academic programmes were reviewed thoroughly by WORLDCHEFS review panel in matters relating to global standards for quality, evaluation of leadership, instructors, facilities, lesson delivery, industry and educational support, food safety and more.
