Innsbrook Club News THIS WEEK’S BLUEBIRD REPORTOur bluebirds now have 76 nests containing 78 eggs and 165 chicks. Forty-two more chicks fledged. Black rat snake predation seems to be on the rise. They climb the poles and eat eggs or chicks, but do not disturb the nest. The best prevention is to put up a baffle or make a Noel guard- a wire mesh extension stapled to the front of the house. Greasing or spreading Tanglefoot (a sticky substance available at garden stores) can also deter. Please send bluebird questions and reports to [email protected].

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITY The Good Shepherd Thrift Shop in Wright City needs volunteers to sort clothing donations and place them on hangers. This takes place in the back room by the back gravel parking lot. Volunteers are needed 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday-Friday. Just show up to help whenever and however long you would like. Enter through the back door. If you have questions, contact the shop manager, John, at 636.745.2947. Any time donated is greatly appreciated.
