Hello fellow Rotarians, well this week we were back at Pelicans and restricted to 20 x guests. Apologies: Elyse, Daniel, Irena and Peter Gray Congratulations to Karl – 42 years as a member of Rotary. Stuart – welcome back. Halloween: Any one with Halloween ideas, venues, and thoughts please reach out to Guy. Halloween Committee meeting tomorrow night. The Bird Hide we met on Saturday 31st and completed the fencing. Earlyact The Earlyact club are planning a wheelathon for the 14 September supported by our club. We have ben asked to run a bbq at the event to which we have agreed to. They also approached DIK to offer their help in packing at the warehouse but it may now be a plan to do a packing day at the school for education packs. ! Speakers please reach out to Paul Morgan with your suggestions for speakers.
Club Subscriptions The board has struck the 2021/22 Fees at $360/member. An invoice will be sent out to members shortly. The invoice will also include any arrears that may be due from the previous year and $50 nominal fee for the 2020/21 zoom meetings as reported in the bulletin on the 21st June 21. The $50 fee is based on $5/zoom meeting and is not mandatory. There are several payment options to assist you which include yearly or quarterly. You can pay in person with cash or by electronic transfer from your bank. We also have a Credit Card terminal – Nils will bring along to meetings to enable members to pay for membership fees.
Paying your fees on time assists the club to remain viable and to cover its Administration Expenses.
Board Meeting – this Wednesday 6.30pm at Customs House.
The man behind the badge – thank you Damien for sharing your story. From locating to the country town of Kaniva playing & coaching country footy (Leo Football Club Serviceton 1 year & 2 years coach Apsley Football), teaching and asking a pretty girl on a date at 14 and celebrating 50 x years of marriage with her next week. Sounded like there are still many more stories to share.
