THE THIRSTY CROW- IIM Ranchi Quiz League Rules and Regulations 1. All quizzes will be conducted as a presentation of the IIM Ranchi Quiz Club 2. Any current student is free to volunteer for being a Quizmaster 3. All participating teams should have 3 or 4 members. You may participate in different teams for different quizzes 4. Each quiz will have a weightage of 15 or 20 points for the winning team at the discretion of the IIM Ranchi Quiz Club 5. Keeping in mind the fact that a Quizmaster stands to lose out on points that he/she would have gained by participating and winning the quiz, it has been decided to award points to the quizmaster on the following basis: a. If the winning team score is less than 100 points in a quiz, the quizmaster gets 10% of the winning score as his/her points b. If the winning team score is greater than 100 but less than 150 in a quiz, the quizmaster gets 5% of the winning score c. If the winning score is greater than 150, the quizmaster gets 2% of that score 6. A person wishing to be the quizmaster must mail to [email protected] mentioning the genre of the quiz at the least 3 days before the intended quiz date so that communication can go out from the Quiz Club ID. 7. No quizmaster is allowed to communicate with the batch regarding the quiz, genre or the composition of the questions 8. At the end of the quiz, the quizmaster shall mail the PPT to the Quiz Club which shall be uploaded on our Slideshare page 9. There will be only 5 teams in a quiz (all of which will happen at the A-Block TV room) 10. Google forms will be floated for each quiz through which you have to register your team (for free, of course) 11. In case of registration by more than 5 teams, an elimination test (on the same genre as the main quiz) shall be sent to the teams to be attempted on laptops and only the top 5 teams will qualify for the final round in the TV room 12. Upon winning a quiz, each member of the winning teams gets the winning points (either 10 or 15) 13. The Quiz Club shall maintain a ‘Thirstiest Crows’ sheet which shall be updated after every quiz 14. At the end of the Quiz League (the end of second term), the top three in the standings will be eligible for a cash prize and hosting a Champions Quiz as the final quiz of the domestic quizzing season 15. The IIM Ranchi Quiz Club may change any of the rules here as deemed fit by them. Any such changes shall be communicated to the batch 16.
