    Happiness and joy are not one in the same. Happiness is based on life circumstances;

    Week ended

    LOVE will keep us together

In the past week of Youth Fellowship, we have studied the Greatest Commandment of all

and for all - Luke 10:27 “He answered: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your

soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and Love your neighbor as yourself.” If we

get this one right then our obedience, devo1on, and rela1onship with Jesus will be a righteous

one. We must put love first.

Loving God with all our heart first means that we clear out all the dark or cold spaces to

make room for all God’s love. It is like invi1ng a loving friend over to your house - first you must

truly own the house and you want it cleaned up. The even more amazing thing about Jesus is HE

comes on in when its cluLered or a complete calamity and helps with the cleaning. We love with

all our soul when we walk in certainty of the presence and purpose of Jesus one day at a 1me and

knowing that these days are just a precursor to our eternal life once home in heaven. We love

with all our strength by puNng our body to service and when everything we do for God is with

everything we have. It takes a mighty believer to press on when the going gets tough or the path

set before us is not the popular one. We love with all our mind when our focus is fixed on Jesus -

we lay down the mirror and pick up the lenses of loving like Christ - less of what we want and all

    of what HE wants.

I know this is not a Chris1an song but look at these lyrics as if shared between you and

Jesus, “I will be there to share forever, love will keep us together. I said it before and I’ll say it

again, while others pretend, I need you now and I’ll need you then. Just stop, cause I really love

you, stop, I’ll be thinking of you. Look in my heart and let love keep us together.” Love Jesus with

your all and love will keep us all united in Christ. The world today needs love - the world today

needs Jesus - the world today need us loving God and loving our neighbors.

2021 “Memorize 100 Bible Verses” My heart is overflowing with joy. This past Sunday we had four more people to join us as well as three outside of our church that see the need to hide God’s Words in their hearts, and be ready for God to use their mouths. I have been sending out letters to encourage those to be steadfast and diligent in daily practicing their verses. My prayer is that they will see each verse as a story or a picture of what God is saying in His Word. These are not words to memorize and count as 1 down and 99 to go. No! These are to share with that lost person, that one that needs encouragement, or strength to keep on keeping on. Without scripture, no human being can think God’s thought or know His ways. And that is actually what He says in Isaiah 55:8 “My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways, declares the Lord.” God’s words are perfect and He needs your mouth in this time in our world more than ever. You have been chosen to live for such a time as this. -Sharon Herrell
