Some Builders just use house wrap to keep in the insulation in with a layer of drywall on each side. Others are just drywall.

Safety and Security for your Family is Van’s first concern.

Van’s installs full wall sheathing on the wall that separates your home from your garage.

We provide an added security measure between your locked home and an unlocked garage.

Van’s method also increases the noise reduction if you have an active garage.

Advanced Flashing System

Van’s has joined forces with DuPont by using their “Flashing System” to ensure all components work together and offer the best flashing protection possible.

Van’s uses a three part system not just a spray foam to make sure that all water is kept to the outside of the house where it should be.

Sill Wrap protect sill from possible water damage

“Straight Flashing” Guarantees water is flashed away from the house and kept outside the walls.

Flex Wrap at Lower Corners

Others may use similar products from different manufacture. These are not tested as a “SYSTEM” and might not be guaranteed to work together.

Van’s provides solid wood backing at all windows for your window treatments. This backing ensures a solid attachment of any brackets that you want to install outside the window trim. Why put holes in your trim that maybe difficult to fix if you change your treatments.

Make sure you buy HOLLOW wall anchors if you do not have backing or these treatments may come loose.

Our Basements offer a window that provides great daylight and can be used as an egress window for any future additional living space. Van’s uses a Post and LVL design to

keep the basement as open and clear as possible.

Some Builders provide a small window just to help them pour the concrete floor during construction, offers very little natural light.

A support wall is used by many, this method reduces finishing options. To modify this wall will require additional supporting of the upper floor.

We want to make sure that your insulation stays where we put it for the best possible home comfort and efficiency

Added sheathing in the truss cavity ensures the wind and up draft does not move the batt and blown insulation in your ceiling

A Standard practice of many Builders is shown here. Over time the blowing wind may relocate the batt insulation that is just stuffed into the cavity and not protected.
