Handing Over Sheikh Haji Ahmad Mosque, Bandar Sri Sendayan

11 April 2019 – With our CSR commitment that falls under four main pillars, namely education, sports, communityand religion, Matrix Concepts Holdings Berhad handed over the Sheikh Haji Ahmad, Bandar Sri Sendayan Mosque toJabatan Agama Islam Negeri Sembilan (JAINS) for the use of Muslims as a centre of worship, education and thedevelopment of Islamic teachings.

Sheikh Haji Ahmad Mosque, Bandar Sri Sendayan in an area of 4.08 acres was built at a cost of RM15 million andcould accommodate 1,556 pilgrims, which is currently the largest mosque in BSS -- equipped with a male prayerroom that can accommodate 579 pilgrims, whereas women's prayer rooms can accommodate 317 pilgrims, and 660pilgrims for open prayer rooms.

Van Jenazah To Masjid Sheikh Haji Ahmad

23 July 2019 – Matrix Concepts handed-over a vanjenazah to Sheikh Haji Ahmad Mosque which is part ascontinuing its corporate social responsibility.

The donation was officially announced by the Chairmanof Matrix Concepts, Dato’ Haji Mohamad Haslah binMohamad Amin on the last handing over of the mosqueon 11th April 2019 that was also attended by YAB Dato’Seri Haji Aminuddin bin Harun, Mentri Besar NegeriSembilan.

The King Of Fruits Has Arrived

13 June 2019 – It’s that time of the year again wherethe air is filled with sweet and savoury aroma ofdurian. For Malaysians, this is the season to expectseeing this thorny fruit everywhere, laid out like afeast.

Matrix Concepts organised a durian festival at theMatrix Galleria Ara Sendayan BSS on 13 June andSIGC Paroi Jaya on 20 June, attracting lovers of thisking of fruits. The feasts featured Musang King,considered a premium grade of durians for its thickflesh, creamy viscose and rich texture.

The King Of Fruits Has Arrived

Following overwhelming from previous durian festivals, Matrix Concepts extended the event to Tiara Sendayan, BSS on17 and 24 August for both show units at Hijayu Aman, BSS and Impiana Bayu, Bandar Seri Impian, Kluang. Theexcitement continued as Matrix Concepts upgraded the Musang King fiesta to a marathon.

“Durian is well-known around the world as the king of fruit but for real durian lovers like most Malaysians, MusangKing is the real deal. You either love or hate them. In addition, the response from our previous durian fest weresurprisingly overwhelming. We prepared 1,700kgs of durians during the first event at Ara Sendayan, and 1,500kgs ofdurians during SIGC, Tiara Sendayan, Hijayu Aman and also Impiana Bayu in Kluang. Most of our stocks has cleared upwithin two hours since the first Musang King Fiesta, hence the continuity of this Musang King Marathon,” said Lim KokYee, chief marketing officer of Matrix Concepts.

The fest started from 11:00am until 3:00pm, filled with activities like face painting and sand art. Aside from free flowof durians, seasonal local fruits such as coconuts, rambutans, mangosteens and dragon fruits were also served.Visitors, especially kids, were enthralled by the magician and clown performances.

Marine Christmas @ Bandar Sri Sendayan

7 December 2019 – The highly anticipated MarineChristmas celebrations was welcomed to d’TempatCountry Club, Bandar Sri Sendayan. For the celebration,Matrix collaborated with Aquaria KLCC for the entiremonth of December. The club was turned into anextravagant Under the Sea scene with live sharks andother marine creatures.

More than 3,000 visitors and children marveled andenjoyed the attractions of the 10-foot Sea Aquarium thattook centre stage with three live adult sharks. Theaudience awed watching the Live Shark Feeding by scubadivers dressed as Santa Claus during the weekends.Children enjoyed the Touch Pool for a hands-onexperience with marine life, corals, various fish and starfish, such as the Blue Tang L, Nigger Trigger, GreenBrittle, and many more.

In FY2019, we conducted an HR benefit policy revision which took effect during thefinancial year. Learning And Development

We believe in the holistic development of talents. We offer quality training opportunities and in-house courses thatallow employees to upgrade their skill-sets and perform optimally. Employees are also encouraged to enrol themselveson external training courses that are relevant to their scope of work.

In FY2019, a total of RM268,292.87 was invested in training, an 89.83% increase from the previous year. The averagenumber of training hours spent per employee has also increased significantly to 9.48 compared with 5.32 in FY2018.Personal development training such as grooming, improving self-esteem and other essential life skills are currentlybeing developed for employees.

Employee Engagement

An Employee Engagement Survey was conducted in November 2018 to gauge employees’ work satisfaction andhopefully identify possible initiatives to facilitate continuous improvement. The exercise recorded a 61.6% responserate. Matrix’s performance in the eight evaluated categories is presented in the chart below.

In summary, 87% of employees are happy and satisfied with their jobs. At least 76% of our people believe that Matrix isan exemplary organisation to work for with great leadership. We are proud that our employees agree that they arebeing treated well and fairly. This is reflected in the survey results which show 76% of employees feel they are beingrecognised for their dedication; 77% of employees agree that the Group encourages two-way communication and 82%of employees agree that the Group provides good benefits packages.
