American Flags The Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, Msgr. Peter B. O’Connor Assemble 1543 are seeking
American Flags that you may have that are in good condition. We are seeking mainly those that measure 4’x6’ and 4’x8’ to fly on the flag pole in front of the church. Being that we are the Patriotic Arm of the Knights of Columbus, Fr. Vic gave us this suggestion and we are only too happy to begin this program. Those who have flags that may have draped the casket of a loved one, your flag will be flown for 30 days and will be returned. Your veteran’s name will be mentioned in the church bulletin. Flags may be dropped off at the Parish Office with a contact name and number. Any questions you may contact Sal Manente Sr. - Assembly Commander at 201-866-2988 or Paul Pinkman - Veteran Affairs Representative at 201-866-8621. _______________________________________________

Announcing Junior Youth Group Meeting
Sunday, February 26, 2017, 7-9PM Open Gym Night in the school gym. My name is Jim Greene and I am the New Youth Minister here at Immaculate Conception Parish. As we begin a New Year in 2017, I would like to invite you to our first Event of the Year which is an OPEN GYM NIGHT. I invite you to join me for a Night of Faith, Fun, Food and Activities. This meeting is for parish youth and parents of students in Grades 6th through 8th. My plan is to introduce myself as your New Youth minister and get to know you as we enjoy some time playing Pickup Basketball and Volleyball Games. In addition, I would like to introduce you and your parents to the various upcoming events that we are planning to participate in this year and Beyond. I look forward to seeing you all there. Sincerely, Jim Greene Youth Minister
Pilgrimage to Our Lady of Guadalupe, Mexico
Our parish is organizing a pilgrimage to Our Lady of Guadalupe on May 1-6 this year. If you are planning to join, please send your registration form and deposit to the parish office or Noelette Tours as soon as possible within this month to avoid paying extra. Airline seats are limited. Forms are available at the doors of the Church or you can call Fr. Rolando at 201-863-4840 to request a copy. You can also contact him for inquiries.
Every year our Parish celebrates Mardi Gras. This year, Fat Tuesday is on Feb. 28th. We begin with a brief “Burning of the Palm” and then everyone goes into the Cafeteria to “pig out” on wonderful desserts. Our Parish is made up of many nationalities and we would love that everyone be represented. I am sure that many of you have special recipes from your country of origin that have been handed down from generation to generation. Please consider sharing these special treats with the rest of the Parish. There is no commitment required, all you need to do is make your dessert and come and join in the fun. If you are willing to participate, please contact Linda Meyer at 201-520-0482.
