Premier Rubber Membrane®

•! This system is a dual component, cold spray-applied product, unique for civil and structural waterproofing, secondary containment.

•! The two components of the Premier Rubber Membrane® system are comprised of waterborne and non-flammable liquids which are non toxic and odorless with no V.O.C.’s. making this one of the most environmentally friendly products on the market today.

•! The Premier Rubber Membrane® system when applied properly can be used in a multitude of areas, such as secondary and primary containment, waste water treatment plants, ponds, landfill sites, reservoirs, acid plants, many different architectural uses and also in landscaping applications.

With the Premier Rubber Membrane® spray system being a cold spray application it will not have the inherent faults of hot applied systems such as cracking and the changing of its composition to a brittle surface.

Premier Rubber Membrane® has allowed applicators to expand their markets and revenues. The limits of application, using the traditional materials have been virtually eliminated.

Premier Rubber Membrane® has an elongation capability in excess of 1200% with a proven recovery of 90%. It has high puncture resistance and has excellent ultraviolet defence.

Dual Component Gun Used for Application of the Premier Rubber Membrane® System

Colour: Black Solids Content: 65-75% Material Description: Quick set, cold spray applied Rubber Membrane System

Main Characteristics: Best suited when solvents and heat are not allowed. •! Fire retardant. •! Available for light traffic quickly after spraying is completed. •! Non seamed and continues membrane. •! Will bond to most known oil free construction materials.

Recommended ideal thickness: 60 mil to 120 mil dry thickness.

Re-coating: 24 hour with rinsing and drying to remove excess Calcium Chloride expelled that was not utilized in the drying process.

Top Coat: Top coating of the Premier Rubber Membrane® system is highly recommended for exposed applications Cantex Coatings Ltd. Ceramic Insul-Coat is the material of choice.

Application Concerns; Avoid large temperature fluctuations. Avoid applying Premier Rubber Membrane® system below temperatures of 5.5°C.

Reinforcement; When used in conjunction with Cantex Coatings Ltd. Trowel Rubber, Geo-Fabric is the recommended material to use to assist in bridging gaps in excess of 10mm.

User Instructions: Refer to application guidelines set forth in the training section of the Training Certification Applicator manual.

Cure Rate: Typically, cure rates vary depending on location of application, temperatures and humidity. Will cure to 90% with an ideal thickness of 60-120 mil. After 24-48 hours with ideal weather conditions of 70°F/21°C at 50% relative humidity.

Clean Up: Recommended that baby oil be used for personal clean up. Mineral spirits are recommended for equipment clean up and small material spills. A Spill Kit should contain an absorbing media, rags and petroleum distillates.

Safety: Avoid prolonged skin contact. Use MSDS for further reference.

The strength of today’s quality sheet membranes do not meet Premier Rubber Membrane® strength properties. Punctuability is outstanding by today’s standards

Elasticity The recovery capabilities of the Premier Rubber Membrane® system from an elongation in excess of 1200% to a 90% recovery, enable excellent resistance to Thermal Cycling.

Material Bondability Listed throughout the manual are many examples of different types of materials that the Premier Rubber Membrane® system will bond to.

Repair Ability In the unlikely event that a repair is required the Premier Rubber Membrane® is 100% self-bonding. Repairs can be made with out compromise to the membrane system.

Water Tracking Control Due to the full bonding capabilities of the Premier Rubber Membrane® system, water tracking is virtually eliminated.

Simplicity of Application This site-applied material is a cold spray, dual component and single coat system that are to be applied at ambient temperatures.

Sealing Properties When the Premier Rubber Membrane® system is applied around vents and protrusions it will bond and seal these areas as part of the monolithic membrane.

Thermal Cycling The Premier Rubber Membrane® system can withstand multiple temperature cycles from below freezing to above ambient temperatures that will enable resistance to the problematic issues of northern climate issues.

Integrity Joints, seams and mechanical fasteners are not present with the Premier Rubber Membrane® system. Making it un- penetrable and resistant to standing water.

Thermostatic Pressure This material has been tested to 150 lbs per square inch positive and negative head pressure.
