Welcome to October 2014 Newsletter. It’s the first month of the new committee and our new president Devin has now chaired his first
meeting. Again, thank you to all the past committee members and the members that are still on
committee for all the work and support to keep this club running.
Christmas Party is planned for 14 Dec 14 at $15 per head. Payment to be made at the next committee
meeting on 05 Nov 14. More details are outlined in the minutes of the meeting.
As you will see in the minutes of the meeting there are alot of discussions on runs and events. Please
read the minutes of meeting to ensure that you are update on what is happening.

Minutes of the General Meeting held at the Barr Oval Complex, Caboolture on
Wednesday 1st October, 2014
1.Opening Our new president, Devin Pearce opened the meeting at 7.38pm and welcomed those
present.
2.Present As per attendance book
3.Apologies Lance Haslewood, Ed Roberts, Billy,Graham & Lorna, Victoria Lewis and Robert
4. New Members , Guests and Visitors Kevin new member, Phil Close from the Neurum Winery and
Ted a guest.
5. Minutes of the General Meeting of 3rd September, 2014. Due to the Secretary's absence the Minutes
were not discussed.
6. Business arising from the Previous Meeting. No business was discussed
7. Correspondence The inward mail was read out , with no outward mail recorded. Moved Cathy
Kuhrt and seconded John Hogg that the correspondence be endorsed. Carried
8. Treasurer's Financial Report The Treasurer presented the financial statement for the month of
September, 2014. Moved Col Jurkiewicz and seconded by John Hogg that the information being
given be accepted and any monthly accounts be accepted for payment. Carried
9.Birthdays for Month of October The President mentioned all members who are celebrating their
birthday for the month of October. Happy Birthday everyone.
10. Life Membership Presentation The President Devin Pearce presented Shane and Kerri Tittor with
Life Membership of our Club and thanked them for their contribution to the Caboolture Regional Car
Club over the many years .
11. Runs and Events:
a, Our new Run Organizer, Vince has suggested two new runs Run to Mt Tamberine , visiting a
number of different areas, Strawberry farm, Brewery, Cheese Factory and discussed lunch at the
bistro. Run to Kenliworth, travelling via the Steve Irwin Way with possible lunch at the local Pub.
Vince to advise of a possible date and run details for the newsletter.
b. Rob, our Run Organizer Assistant also spoke of our Event Runs which are detailed in our
newsletter. He found that they are outdated and that we should have a contact alongside these events
so members have a number contact if they wish to attend. A questionnaire was given to each member
to be fill out and returned by the next meeting for ideas on what members want from our monthly runs.
c. 2014 Camping Weekend. October long weekend. John spoke on behalf of Lance and discussed the
arrangements for the Camping Weekend at Hazledean. The grounds will be opened by Friday,
lunchtime, for members to enter . The club will have paid for the minimum camping fee , but if
members are bringing friends or family members then this will an extra cost. Children are free and
pets are welcome. Please bring your own firewood. A few electricity points are available. Contact

d. Lakeside Run Report Dennis gave a report on our Lakeside Run. A great time was had by all
members who attended and he suggested a future run --- Lakeside Breakfast run.
12. General Business
a.Swap Meet and Show & Shine Cathy discussed date of 20th June 2015, to be confirmed with the
Show Society Cost details for flyer to be left as is. Carl said there was nothing to discuss at this stage
for the Show & Shine.
b. Property Officer After examining the container Carl proposed that we purchase shelving . After
reviewing a number of cost options it was agreed to purchase these items from Costco for $600.
Details given to the Treasurer. Moved Carl Seconded Kevin Carried Carl to confirm a day to clean
out container and erect shelving. TBA Please contact Carl if you able to assist.
c. Xmas Party @ the Caboolture Historical Village Richard gave a report on our Xmas Party set date
for the 14th DECEMBER 2014 Discussion that the members pay $15each and club pay the difference.
The President asked for a Show of hands that the club pay the difference, Carried
MEMBERS TO ARRIVE AT THE HISTORICAL VILLAGE : AT 9.30AM TO ENTER BY
10.00AM. : AT GATE 4 ON BEERBURRUM ROAD. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IT WILL BE A
4KPH SPEED LIMIT TO DRIVE TO OUR VENUE INSIDE THE VILLAGE. ATTENTION ALL
MEMBERS ------- PLEASE PAY YOUR $15 PP AT OUR NEXT MEETING ON 5TH
NOVEMBER Please contact Richard if you require further information A map will be put on the
website for directions.
d. Cathy informed members that Lance will have all shirts, ids etc at the next meeting
e. Proposal for donation to Alzheimer's Australia qld Warren discussed this donation and the need for
assistance for this problem in our society. Kevin moved motion for a donation of $500 seconded by
Carl. Carried Warren to ask Karen to come to meeting to accept donation
f. Guest Speaker The President introduced our guest speaker from the Nuerum Winery . Phil spoke of
the Winery and how they are involved with the local community. He advised the members of a
Mystery Run the winery has, and suggested the club maybe interested.. Cost is $30 per vehicle with
morning tea available and run organized by them. Club to discuss at a later time.
g. Raffles Kevin and Devin drew a number of raffles------donated by Repco
h. For those members who supplied the CUPPA AND SUPPER, THANK YOU ALL. Any members
who would like to give their time to help with the cuppa for each meeting , please contact Devin.

Regular Optional Runs.
First Sunday and Second Saturday of each month: Yatala Drive in theatre. Exit 38 off SE freeway.
Double feature starts at 7pm during the warmer months (Oct-Apr) and 5:45pm during the cooler months
(May-Sep).
Each Sunday of the Month. Eagle farm Markets at Eagle farm Race course. Starts at 6am to 1pm. $2
entry fee. Make own arrangements.
Last Saturday of each month: Masters North Lake. Pre 1980 vehicles. 5:00pm.
First Sunday of each month: Yatala Drive in theatre. Exit 38 off SE freeway. Double feature starts at
7pm.
First Friday of each month: The Performance centre open night BBQ. 20 Paisley Drive, Lawnton.
Each Thursday Night. Rick’s Garage & Diner, 14-16 Margaret Street, Palmwoods. 5:00pm to 10:30pm.
Make own arrangements.
Each Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Rick’s Garage & Diner, 14-16 Margaret Street, Palmwoods.
11.30 am to 5pm. Make own arrangements.
Munch Inn, corner Beaudesert Road and Elizabeth Street, Acacia Ridge. Meet BP South Caboolture at
5:15pm for a 5:30pm departure. Petrie Markets. Meet BP South Caboolture at 6:30pm.
2nd Friday Night ~ Autobarn Kawana. Car display from 6 pm till late. Make own arrangements.
1st, 2nd and 4th Friday ~ Harry's Diner. Meet BP South Caboolture at 6:30pm. Enjoy the many
different makes and models of 'Old Skool' and modern cars. Excellent dining available.
1st and 3rd Saturday ~ Redcliffe, Scarborough or Sandgate Cruise. Meet BP South Caboolture at
7:15pm. Destination to be decided on the night.
1st Saturday ~ 'Old Skool Cars ‘N Street Machines'. Masters carpark, 321 Morayfield Road,
Morayfield. 5 pm to 8:30pm. Maybe a minimal cost to entrants. Make own arrangements.
2nd Sunday ~ Happy Valley Caloundra for Breakfast. BYO food, drinks and chairs. Meet 'Big Fish' at
7:30am for a 8:00am departure. Happy Valley is the hubbub hanging over Caloundra’s Clark Place Park,
on the shores of Bulcock Beach.
If your car is on SIV registration, it’s advisable to keep a copy of the run calendar in your car.
