1970’s
ITDC KEYMILESTONES
A rich history spanning over 4 decades
1980’s – 90’s
1968 – Master Plan of the Nusa Dua was
established for the first time by SCETO
(France)
1970 - Hotel Bualu – Training School opened
1972 – ITDC (then BTDC) was established by
the Government
2000 – Present
1980 – First Investor opened Nusa Dua
Beach Hotel with 450 Rooms
1981 – Aerowisata Hotel by Garuda (now
known as Westin) was built
1984 – Spanish Investors commences on
Melia Bali Sol and Putri Bali Hotel
Over the coming decade, new hotels came
Ayodya, Puja Mandala and a further 10
properties, incl. Bali Nusa Dua Convention
Centre, the largest MICE Venue in Bali
From 2000, additional Resorts came online
with Sofitel Luxury and the new Shangri-la
Resort
With a new Management Team on board,
BTDC changed its name to ITDC, with a new
Vision in becoming Indonesia’s foremost
