Getting Here

From Highway 680 North (from Walnut Creek area)Take highway 242 North to highway 4 East.

Take the Railroad Avenue exit, EXIT 23.

Turn right onto Railroad Avenue, then take an immediate left onto Bliss Avenue.

Follow Bliss Avenue, crossing Harbor Street to the end where it intersects with Martin Way.

Entrance to Bishop-Wisecarver will be on the left.

From Highway 680 South (from Martinez Bridge)Take highway 4 East, EXIT 53 towards Antioch/Pittsburg.

Take the Railroad Avenue exit, EXIT 23.

Turn right onto Railroad Avenue, then take an immediate left onto Bliss Avenue.

Follow Bliss Avenue, crossing Harbor Street to the end where it intersects with Martin Way.

Entrance to Bishop-Wisecarver will be on the left.

From Highway 4 East (from Antioch Bridge and Brentwood area)Head West on highway 4 West toward Concord.

Take EXIT 23 toward Harbor St/Railroad Avenue.

At stop light turn left onto California Avenue.

Take the first left onto Harbor Street.

Turn left onto Bliss Avenue. Follow Bliss Avenue to the end where it intersects with Martin Way.

Entrance to Bishop-Wisecarver will be on the left.

Parking LotBishop-Wisecarver has a large parking area for visitors. Visitors may park in any designated spot that is not marked for handicap parking. You may park in spots designated as “Reserved."

Electronic GateThe Bishop-Wisecarver building and surrounding property is protected by a chain link fence and an electronic gate. The gate is opened at 7:00 am and closes at approximately 5:00 pm.

Bart – From/To SFOAfter you land at SFO, follow the signs to the free AirTrain (Red or Blue Line) which will take you to the SFO BART station. It is located on the Departures/Ticketing Level of the International Terminal (down one level from where the AirTrain drops you off). A one-way Clipper Card from SFO to Pittsburg Center is $13.20, round trip is $26.40 ($13.70 for a Blue Ticket, $27.40 round trip). Board the Antioch train (Yellow Line). After arriving at the Pittsburg/Bay Point station, do not exit the train. It will continue on to a transfer platform east of the Pittsburg/Bay Point station where you will exit the train, walk across the platform and board a different train (DMU).  Stay on the DMU train and exit at the Pittsburg Center station. (If you’re staying at the Concord Hilton hotel, exit at the Concord station.) The ride to Pittsburg Center station takes approximately 1 hour, 40 minutes. If purchasing a one-way Bart fare from Pittsburg Center, please note that there are no ticket vending machines at this station. Clipper Cards are the only product fare available for purchase.

Bart – From/To OAKThe Oakland International Airport BART shuttle station is located just across from the Terminal 1 baggage claim area. Board the shuttle and take it to platform 3 near the BART fare gates. Purchase a BART ticket at a vending machine. A one-way Clipper Card from Coliseum Station to Pittsburg Center is $12.20, round trip is $24.40 ($12.70 for a Blue Ticket, $25.40 round trip). Board the Richmond train (Orange Line) and exit at MacArthur Station (transfer station). Board the Antioch train (Yellow Line). Remain on the train until it reaches the transfer platform east of the Pittsburg/Bay Point station. Exit the train and walk across the platform and board the DMU train. Take the DMU to the Pittsburg Center station. (If you’re staying at the Concord Hilton hotel, exit at the Concord station.) Travel time to Pittsburg Center is approximately 1 hour, 20 minutes. If purchasing a one-way Bart fare from Pittsburg Center, please note that there are no ticket vending machines at this station. Clipper Cards are the only product fare available for purchase.

Pittsburg Center station is the closest BART station to Bishop-Wisecarver. It’s located on Railroad Avenue above State Route Highway 4. It is served by Tri Delta Transit. It’s approximately 0.8 miles west of the Bishop-Wisecarver plant.

Tri Delta TransitTri Delta Transit serves the cities of Antioch, Pittsburg, Brentwood, Oakley, Bay Point, Discovery Bay and Concord. It operates 15 local bus routes Monday-Friday and five on weekends and holidays. Single ride, no transfer bus fare for the general public (age 6 to 64 years) is $2.00. Bus service is available from the Pittsburg Center BART station to the corner of East Leland Rd and Piedmont Way, which is the closest bus stop to Bishop-Wisecarver. Look for buses 380, 381, 390 or 391.

Upon your arrival at Bishop-Wisecarver1. Enter the lobby through the glass double doors

2. Check in with the receptionist

3. Sign in via the Pingboard iPad and review the Visitor Safety/Non-Disclosure Agreement(NDA)

4. Wait in the lobby until an authorized Bishop-Wisecarver employee escorts you into theoffice/plant

5. Wear a badge while on the premises

If you are a U.S. PERSON, you will be asked to sign in using the Pingboard iPad and wear a white name badge printed from the connected printer. Pingboard will then notify the employee by mobile text and/or email that he/she has a visitor waiting in the lobby.

If you are a NON U.S. PERSON, you will be asked to sign in using the hard-copy register, sign the visitor NDA and wear a badge given by the receptionist on duty.

Bishop-Wisecarver is registered with the US Department of State as an ITAR compliant manufacturer. As the ITAR regulations are intended to ensure that delivery of both military product and related technical information only be shared with US persons, export of Bishop-Wisecarver military product is handled via a rigorous process of screening, documentation and export license application through the Department of State’s DTRADE system.

Getting to Know Us

MeetingsIf your meeting is to take place in one of our conference rooms and you have a PowerPoint presentation or other documents to share with the participants, you may email the files in advance to avuser@bwc.com. You may also bring a USB flash drive which can be uploaded to the conference room laptop and monitor using a HDMI to Bluetooth connection. Anolther alternative is to share your own device screen to the conference room monitor by connecting to our high-performance wireless platform, Mersive Solstice.

Manufacturing Floor*Please Note: If your visit includes a tour of the manufacturing floor, please be sure to wear or bring closed toe shoes. You will not be able to participate in the tour if you are wearing open toe shoes. You will be given a pair of safety glasses to wear at the beginning of the tour. Please stay inside the designated walkways (the yellow lines) as you tour the plant (unless directed otherwise by your tour guide). The walkways are designated “safety zones” to protect you from the heavy machinery and metal debris.

PhotographyPicture taking inside the Bishop-Wisecarver office building is allowed. However, if you want to take pictures of the manufacturing floor, you will need permission from a Bishop-Wisecarver employee to do so.
