HOW?-THE ADVERB WAY An adverb answers the question how. Ex:The long dress was extremely beautiful with it’s sweetheart neckline and pearly white thread. Extremely tells how beautiful it was. How beautiful was the dress,? How beautiful was the dress,? The dress was extremely beautiful. The dress was extremely beautiful. Pearly tells how white the thread was. How white was the thread? The thread was pearly white. (Notice how pearly doesn’t describe the thread; it isn’t pearly.). The thread was pearly white. (Notice how pearly doesn’t describe the thread; it isn’t pearly.).
