INTRODUCTION

T he Johnsonian is Winthrop University’s weekly student newspaper. We publish 2,500 to 3,000 copies each Thursday,

excluding school breaks and exams.

We strive to reach all students with a variety of content: from campus news to opinion; arts and culture to science and technology. It is our mission to provide relevant and interesting content to our readers, so that they are both informed and entertained. The Winthrop audience is diverse, much like The Johnsonian.

As Winthrop University grows, so too does the demand for an accurate source of relevant information. With a new mobile site and an updated website, The Johnsonian fills this need and is the most efficient source of reaching thousands of Winthrop University readers.

Online advertising runs on a 7 day cycle. Advertiser’s may choose desired starting date, but may not break and restart cycle. With the purchase of multiple weeks, advertisments are not restricted to consecutive weeks.

All online advertising purchases come with the option of free design work. This is limited to stationary designs. If dynamic ads are requested, advertiser must provide designs and coding.

ADVERTISING PRODUCTION

AD SUBMISSIONS• Ads must be sent by the Friday prior to scheduled publication date• Ads must be sent in .JPG, .TIFF, .BMP, or .PDF formats• Ads must be set to exact technical sizing to avoid distortion and stretching• Ads must have a minimum resolution of 300dpi

PRODUCTION DEADLINES• Proof requests must be sent by the Friday prior to scheduled publication date

• Ad cancellations must be sent by the Monday prior to scheduled publication date

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTYAdvertising design and production is a complimentary service of The Johnsonian. Any and all artwork designed by our designers are not to be used outside of The Johnsonian without expressed written consent.

ADVERTISING PROVISIONS

01 Billing for advertising is on a monthly cycle. Payment is due

10 days after the date of invoice.

02 If an account becomes delinquent, the advertiser is respon-

sible for collection costs.

03 All submitted advertising is subject to the approval of The

Johnsonian. We reserve the right to refuse any advertising content

that does not meet our standards of acceptance.

04 All tear sheet requests must be submitted within 45 days after

the publication date.

05 In the event that a purchased advertisement is not published,

the ad will be run in the subsequent issue, or an alternative adver-

tising agreement may be made at the discretion of the Advertising

Manager.
