membership (to equal penetration rates of top 8 IWA countries).
Argentina, Brazil, Columbia and Mexico are potential growth areas
in the America’s if IWA wishes to grow a Spanish/Portuguese offering.
South Asia - penetration rates very low. With focussed membership
drive, region could deliver 10-15% increase in IWA membership no’s
Africa – penetration rates very low. With focussed membership drive,
region could deliver 10-15% increase in IWA membership no’s
Governing Members – Could help develop regional initiatives and
regional content focus - ASPIRE, IWANA
And finally………..

livable cities of the future (visionary thinkers + compelling speakers).
Convene a high level summit with City Officials to support the Cities
of the Future and its associated Water Wise Principles.
Provide a platform for showcasing success stories in relation to
SDGs and help build partnerships (SDG 17).

particular the circular and digital economy.

Emerging Water Leaders
EXPECTATIONS FROM COPENHAGEN 2020
AND attract 10, 000 participants
We will have a growing and engaged membership, from all
continents and all age groups (in particular YWP’s).
We will view all or our activities through the prism of our members,
to ensure that we are maximizing member benefits.
We will offer bespoke membership services and engagement
opportunities, through the application of advanced data analytics
We will bring together the best scientific & practice minds, to tackle
the worlds most pressing water problems (particularly urban).
We will create platforms to bridge the chasm between researchers,
innovators & practitioners, to accelerate the adoption of innovation.
We will be more strategic in growing our global membership –need
‘mavens’ in the regions who are well-connected and influential.
