The interactive installation performance

The Divan is an interactive installation that has twelve areas. It can be experienced from both the outside and inside, and allows for many viewing points. In three of these areas the public are invited to leave their usual role of mere observer and participate. Each person who wishes to enter is free to choose his or her own path and experience, and his or her degree of involvement and participation.

The Divan is an invitation to look at oneself and other peoplein a new way. It is an enchanted place, reminicent of a surrealistic hairdressing salon, where time has stopped. A place where people are able to contact with their own ideas and ideals ofbeauty, and question the imposition of certain aesthetic rules, often presented as abso-lute, untouchable truths.

But above all it is an open, friendly area of human meeting in which to share ideas, opinions and actions that question aesthetic norms and celebrate the beauty of diversity.
