What is the Imperfect?

• It’s the past that happened continually(ie, Every Monday, I went swimming.)

• What you were like in the past or what you used to do in the past(I was short. OR I played games.)

Preterite VS Imperfect

The preterite is used to talk about a once completed action. Words such as ayer, anteayer, el otro día, etc….words that indicate that the actions happened only during that moment.
