Prayer Focus—Revival
Righteous God, grant to us a burning hunger for Yourself and a passion for fervent prayer. Help us draw near to You and seek You with all our hearts. Lord, cause us to hunger and thirst for You above all else. Help us lead our churches to become houses of prayer for all nations. (Jeremiah 29:13; Matthew 5:6, 21:13; Acts 2:1; Philippians 2:13; James 4:8)

BURDETTE HOUSE PRESENTATION
Sunday, July 21st at 5:00 p.m. Highland Baptist Church, Senatobia
Thank you to everyone who helped contribute
to T-shirts for the homeless.
In June a small group of us followed Greg Hazlerig and his party to Memphis. Greg goes every Tuesday evening to Memphis to assist the homeless with food, water and other supplies. We sent a second shipment of t-shirts last week.
If you would like to assist Greg and his group please let us know and we can arrange a time for you to go. We ask that each group be limited to 1 vehicle and your vehicle will hand out shirts to the needy.
Christmas Shoeboxes
Yes, it's time to think about Christmas!!!! Christmas Shoeboxes for the children in the countries of Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, oth-er Third World Countries. Our Methodist missionaries stationed in those countries deliver them to the children in the small villages. This annual project is part of UMCOR--United Methodist Committee on Relief!!!
There is one small change this year. We need to have our boxes ready by the end of August. So we need to get started NOW!!!!
There will be a collection box in the main hall. These are the things we need to collect:
Bars of soap combs toothbrushes and toothpaste pencils pencil erasers and sharpeners underwear or shorts for kids from 2 to 12 girls and boys, small toys, crayons!!!
For little girls: barrettes, ribbons, bows, handbands, scrunches, ponytail holders, etc. When the stores begin their back to school sales, we can get a lot of these things!!
For little boys: Hot Wheels cars, McDonald’s toys, marbles (no more than 5 per baggie)
As I checked our extras from last year we have enough washcloths to use this time.
We will try to find flip flops in small sizes (up to size 5 and 6). Real big ones will not fit in the boxes.
We always have wonderful support for this project!! Thanks to each of you that purchase or make items for the kids. So many give money too!!! This project touches so many people---all ages in our local church----churches all over America fill boxes--children discover that people that they don't even know, care about them!!! This brings smiles to so many!!!
Thanks so very much! Bobbi
