Volunteers Needed Our good friends at St. Vincent de Paul are in need of volunteers to serve in their Financial

Assistance Program.

Service involves two volunteers meeting with a client who is requesting financial help in dealing with car repairs, rent, utilities, etc. A conversation is held with the client about circumstances leading to the need for help. This meeting usually takes about an hour, at a time set by the volunteers with client input.

Time commitment varies, but a volunteer might be called 2 or 3 times a month.

For further information, please call St. Vincent de Paul at 524-5470 and ask that Cheryl Bonner be notified of your interest.

Thank you!

Staff Spotlight Cindy Warren

Cindy Warren recently became our 1st-shift Shift Leader on the Ledgeview Nursing Floor.

After watching Cindy’s work ethic for a while, it became very apparent to me that she would be a good candidate for the shift leader position. She is very organized and she likes to see that things go smoothly. She thinks outside the boxes, is always willing to help where she can, and she rarely calls out. When I approached Cindy about this position she stated

she was up for the challenge and was interested in finding ways to help all of the shifts work better together. In this field it’s sometimes difficult to get everyone on the same page, and each shift has different challenges. Working in tandem with the different shifts will always be a work in progress, but I truly believe Cindy wants to help effect positive changes.

It’s been a few months since Cindy has been in this new position, and she is working very diligently on her goal. Cindy works very closely with Jenni Holmes, the Unit Manager on the Nursing Unit. She also works closely with Sophie Lemire, who is our 2nd-shift Shift Leader. We are currently in the process of seeking out a shift leader for 3rd shift.

Cindy was born and raised in Belmont, NH and went through the Belmont School system. After High School she went to Keiser College in St. Petersburg, Florida. When Cindy came back to NH, she decided she wanted to become an LNA and went through the American Red Cross program. Cindy became an LNA in 2001 and came to Taylor Community in October 2015.

Cindy has been married to her husband Scott for 6 years (they’ve know each other since high school), and they have a 10-year-old daughter who is the love of their life. They feel so blessed to have her. Another love of Cindy’s life is her “baby,” Nala, an American Stafford Terrier. Nala is an amazingly well-trained dog who idolizes Cindy. Another interesting fact about Cindy is that she raises chickens, and has on occasion brought in eggs for people she works with. The family is very active and enjoys 4-wheeling, hiking and camping, as well as other outdoor activities.

I want to thank Cindy for her dedication to Taylor Commu-nity.

Between Sophie and Cindy, they are absolutely helping to make Taylor Community Health Services the place people want to work.

The exhibit then focuses on the story of the devel-

opment of the Amoskeag Manufacturing Company, which would become one of the largest textile producing companies in the world, employing over 17,000 people, including immigrants from many countries. The company's vast brick millyard still dominates the cityscape today.
