Stepping out of my quiet offi ce and

into the streets of downtown St. Andrews, I am enamored by the sounds of live music coming from the sur-rounding restau-rants. The music begins here nearly every day in the late afternoon. It starts at just about the same time that I typically take a break from my editorial duties and stroll down

the boardwalk for a view of the sunset. Along the way I notice that more and more visitors are seeking out St Andrews as a destination place to experience during their stay on Panama City Beach. There are a number of great seafood restaurants, cafes, boutiques, vistas, parks, clubs, museums, boat rentals, galleries and a growing number of things to see and do which add to the charm of life in this bayside town.

As I meander down Bay-view Drive the sun gives its last bursts of light brilliantly painting the sky before dusk.

It is easy to see why St. An-drews is considered to be one of Panama City’s best places to watch the sun go down over the bay. The lifestyle of most citizenry in St Andrews has a laid back approach and very little stress. Here, living off a harvest of seafood from the Gulf and the bay is a big part of life for fi sherman, sailors, and landlobers alike. St Andrews is a vibrant and growing community with a farmers’ market every Satur-day from 8am to 12pm. See the St Andrews Waterfront Market advertisement on page 5.

The Edge Weekly is proud to have our offi ce in such a quaint part of town with access to all that St Andrews has to offer right out our back door. We look forward to being a reliable source of information for not only St Andrews but for all the Bay County communities. Ah well, it looks to be that time of the evening again friends. We can’t work all the time. Besides it is necessary to take a break on occasion. The French invented it and we Americans perfected it. It’s called a vacation and I am due for one. Enjoy this issue and I’ll be reporting again next week. In the meantime, bring the whole family down for a visit to St Andrews. It’s a great place to gather, and remember, once the evening has begun the party livens up here in St. Andrews!
