With almost 80 years of shoe making heritage in every pair, it is no surprise that Dubarry’s Classic deck shoes are renowned the world over for quality, style and comfort. Inspired by Ireland’s West Coast, our deck shoes combine traditional styling with practical features.

High performance leathers are cut by skilled craftsmen after which rustproof metal eyelets and our famous Broga crest are added. The various leather pieces are then hand sewn together. A hand stitched and sealed roll top helps repel water droplets, while our award-winning outsole is bonded then stitched to the leather for added durability. High breaking strain one piece wraparound leather laces are used and special Dubarry insoles add comfort under foot.

Each step of the process is rigorously checked to ensure that only the very best quality deck shoes are packed in the famous Dubarry blue box...and are ready for anything, onboard or on shore.

The craft of the Dubarry deck shoe

The leather used by Dubarry for its footwear is specially treated to absorb less moisture and requires 70% less time to dry compared to other leather types. It also ensures that your Dubarry footwear will always be soft and supple. The leather used for the Dubarry footwear is the full cowhide with all its naturally occurring imperfections.
