You are what makes our parish so special.

Golden Wedding Jubilee Mass
Couples celebrating their 50th Wedding Annive-sary anytime during 2018 are invited to attend the Golden Wedding Jubilee Mass with Cardinal Dolan at St. Patrick’s Cathedral on Sunday, June 3 at 2:15 p.m. Pre-registration is required. Please call the parish office 718 727-2672 to register. The closing date to register for the Mass is Friday, May 11, 2018.

Aquellos que anticipan una cirugía seria (el uso de anestesia general)

La gente no debería retrasar la recepción del sacra-mento, pero recibirlo cuando llegue el momento adecuado. ANOINTING OF THE SICK
“When the Church cares for the sick, it serves Christ himself in the suffering members of his Mystical Body.” At all the Masses celebrated on the weekend of April 14 and 15 the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be administered to those who present themselves. Who is a candidate for the anointing? 1. Those whose health (physical, mental, or emotional)
is seriously impaired by sickness 2. Those whose health is seriously impaired by old age 3. Those anticipating serious surgery (the use of gen-
eral anesthesia) 4. Sick children who have sufficient use of reason to
understand the benefits of the sacrament People should not delay the reception of the sacrament, but receive it when the right time comes. All who care for the sick are encouraged to help them celebrate this sacred moment of healing and source of strength.
Vocations Summit
On Monday, April 16, 2018 from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., there will be a Vocations Summit for 8th graders and high school students in Damato Hall at Our Lady Star of the Sea Parish, 5371 Hu-guenot Avenue. This Vocation Summit will essentially be a panel discussion with priests, parishioners in-volved in the planning of this event, religious sis-ters, a deacon and others to both tell their voca-tion story and to take questions from those in at-tendance. Cumbre de Vocaciones El Lunes, Abril 16, 2018 de la 7:00 hasta las 8:30 p.m., habrá una Cumbre de Vocaciones para los estu-diantes de 8 grado y estudiantes de la secundaria en salón Damato de nuestra parroquia Lady Star of the Sea, 5371 Huguenot Avenue.
