PASTOR’S LETTER
Dear Brothers and Sisters of Our Lady of Mount Carmel,
Each day of Advent we have been praying as a Church family these words:
“We welcome you the God who comes. Come to us now in the power of Jesus Christ our Lord.”
We call the day of Christ’s coming, Christmas. The truth of the matter is that the coming of the Lord into our lives, personally and specifically, may or may not happen on December 25. The odds do increase, however, on Christmas because most people open their hearts on this holy day to family, to in-laws, to neighbors and especially to the poor.
I urge you to pick a Christmas Mass on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and enter into the Mass prayerfully. Join with our community of faith to praise God and to exchange the peace of Christ with one another.
‘Peace on Earth, Good Will to All’ is nice to sing. It is even better to experience. May you enjoy a taste of God’s grace and peace this Christmas.
“Please, O God, come to us now in the power of Jesus Christ, our Lord.”
Sincerely yours in Christ and Our Lady of Mount Carmel,
fr. Dan [email protected]
