THIS WEEK AT THE CENTER….. SUNDAY OF DIVINE MERCY APRIL 3, 2016

From the Diary of

St. Faustina

…..Jesus to Sr. Faustina February 22, 1931

47 “….Paint an image according to the pattern you see, with the

signature: Jesus I trust in You. I desire that this image be venerated, first in your chapel, and (then) throughout the world.”

48 “I promise that the soul that will venerate this im-age will not perish. I also promise victory over (its) enemies already here on earth, especially at the

hour of death. I myself will defend it as My own glory.”

49 Jesus to St. Faustina “….My image already is in your soul. I desire that there be a Feast of Mercy. I want this image which you will paint with a brush, to

be solemnly blessed on the first Sunday after Easter; that Sunday is to be the Feast of Mercy.”

50 + “I desire that priests proclaim this great mercy of Mine towards souls of sinners. Let the sinner not be afraid to approach Me. The flames of Mercy are burning Me—clamoring to be spent; I want to pour

them out upon these souls. Jesus complained to me in these words. “Distrust on the part of souls is tearing at My insides. The distrust

of a chosen soul causes Me even greater pain; despite My inexhaustible love for them they do not trust me. Even my death is not enough for them.

Woe to the soul that abuses these (gifts)”

746 “I have understood that at certain and most difficult moments I shall be alone, deserted by every-one, and that I must face all the storms and fight with

all the strength of my soul, even with those from whom I expected to get help. But I am not alone, be-cause Jesus is with me, and with Him I fear nothing. I am well aware of everything, and I know what God is demanding of me. Suffering, contempt, ridicule,

and humiliation will be my constant lot I know no oth-er way. For sincere love-ingratitude; this is my path,

marked out by the footprints of Jesus”

Breaking Bread Homeless Ministries

News From The Streets… Forever Sowing Seeds of Love - Part I

By Mary Martha Primerano There have been times when God has sent the Breaking Bread Team into places where one would think that without police protection, we would be in big trouble. This was the case on one particular beautiful Saturday morning. Walt led us to a neighborhood right outside of downtown Houston. We had been there before so I did not think too much about it. That’s until I saw several teens wearing what seemed to be gang apparel. They, along with the small neigh-borhood crowd began to approach our vehicles. Here in this small inner city neighborhood you will find disabled and elderly grandmothers raising their grandchildren - doing their best to keep their families together. Then of course you will see the children - who can resist holding them? All this in the middle of drug/alcohol addiction, and gang related crime. It’s God’s love for the people that draw us out of our comfort zone to come and reach out to His precious people. In Matthew 9: 37 He said to his disciples, "The harvest is great, but the workers are few. 38So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields." The items given out are usually donated by generous people who care. On cold winter days, blankets are always a welcome sight. In fact it was a donated blanket that helped show us fa-vor in this neighborhood on this Saturday morning. Remember those teens that seemed threatening? - To Be Continued!!

Luego dice a Tomás: «Acerca aquí tu dedo y mira mis manos; trae tu mano y métela en mi costado, y no seas incrédulo sino creyente». Tomás le contestó: «Señor mío y Dios mío». Dícele Jesús: «Porque me has visto has creído. Reflexión “Tomás, ¿porque me has visto has creído?
