bstra!t" Every night one in seven people go to bed hungry-that is almost one billion people worldwide. Ironically, 60 % of thehungry are women. In Indonesia itself, 110 of Indonesian populations are hungry and 1! % are the poor "!01!, #$&. 'he data

suggested they have no enough food. $eople are hungry not because there is not enough food produced but because our food

system is bro(en. In fact, )0 % of the world*s hungry are directly involved in food production. +igh temperature, drought, and

monsoon are the sine quanon of climate change and it affected the food production and prices. +igh temperature can cause the

sea-level rise. It can have a tremendous impact on rice production in Indonesia, a % reduction in local rice supply "down

00,000 tons& and mai/e output by 10,000 tons, due to inundation. In ussia, it destroy millions of acres of wheat causing wheat production plunged 0 % and the price intentionally increased by ) %. oreover, 12 El 3ino droughts affected

appro4imately 5!6,000 hectares of rice in Indonesia. +eavy rainfall and multiple typhoons hit outheast sia and severely

affecting 6 % of the region*s total rice area and driving prices up by 0 % in some areas. 7therwise, in both industriali/ed and

developing countries, unacceptable  8uantities of food are wasted but for entirely different reasons. In developing countries,

waste nearly one third of food supply. 'his waste was caused by inade8uate access to better storage, transportation, and

refrigeration. In contrast, in industriali/ed countries consumers and retailers throw away about one third of all food that is produced. 'here have been cuts of more than 50 % in government aid to small-scale producers specifically in landreform lower

than the aid to manage any other land in this country, even though the ma9ority of the hungry are involved in food production

    "!01, $#3&. +ow do we can ma(e a change: change can happen by investing in small-scale farmers. ;e can tac(le e4treme

hunger by helping small-scale producers grow more food more sustainably. #y providing women who are hungry with e8ual

access to farming resources such as tools, seeds, and transport, about 100-10 million people could have enough to eat. 7f

course, we also have to change our behavior and reduce waste. ;e have to feed ourselves better. o, ne4t time we go to thegroceries we should thin( local, choose organic, and (now our food.
