It was great to see the large number of parents and community members supporting the day and a special thank you to the P&C for organising the BBQ. The tree represented all of us working together as a part of this year’s NAIDOC week. The assembly was awesome and it was great to have Noah open in Dhurga language as well as other students using this language for the Welcome to Country, singing of songs and other spoken aspects of the assembly. Thank you to Steve and Gordon who have started teaching our students one of our local Yuin languages as it becomes a part of our school assemblies. This year, the school is using the Y-PEP Child Protection Education Program which is aligned to the NESA PDHPE Syllabus. Notes were sent home about the program last term and you only needed to return a note if you wanted to opt out of the lessons. Lessons will begin this week. STATE CROSS COUNTRY Good luck to Sam G as he attends the State Cross Country in Sydney this Friday. Sam has trained extremely hard and it is an outstanding achievement to qualify at this level. The school looks forward to hearing how Sam goes against the best runners in New South Wales. Good Luck Sam. Brendan Constable- Principal

P&C NEWS

I hope you've had a fun refreshing holiday, our family definitely did!

On the middle weekend of the holidays we had a P&C disco. We had

108 kids and we raised $540! It was such a fun night filled with dancing

and prizes.

A big thank you to all our P&C volunteers and also to all the parents

that stayed and had a fun night watching the kids dance up a storm!

We did have a bit of a disco light issue.... Thanks to Steve for rescuing

us with your Xmas laser lights! They were better than nothing!

Greg from the BP provided us with his equipment for the DJ as usual

and Kurtis M kept the beats pumping. Greg realised his light was broken

at the last minute and he kindly offered to buy another one even though

he provides his equipment to us for free. Thanks Greg Atlee for your

community spirit!

We have decided to spend some of the money raised on a new disco

light for our future discos!

I hope everyone has a great start to the term.Esme Markwort
