Our PBL Focus for this week is: Try something new this week! Central Tilba PS Newsletter Issue No. 22 Term 3 Week 8 Congratulations to the children who received awards at our assembly on Friday. It was wonderful to see so many families attend and enjoy the Dhurga language presentation from the Najanuga class. They did an outstanding job of sharing their new language skills and artworks. The video they created showed just how effectively our new iPads are being used as a learning tool. The surplus of citrus at this time of the year was put to good use in Dhananj on Friday. The children made marmalade which they enjoyed on apple pikelets, plus each family received a jar to take home and enjoy. Thank you to our wonderful volunteers who are so imaginative and innovative in using fresh, seasonal, local ingredients to awe and inspire our children to try new things. Welcome to our newest members of the Tilba School family! We have four chickens and one very handsome rooster scratching happily in the coop. Sandy no sooner had the coop ready and they were in! They are very friendly and enjoy being handled with care. There will be no shortage of food scraps for them to eat and hopefully we may soon be collecting eggs. Tickets to Jersey Boys are selling fast, so please purchase yours as soon as you can to ensure you get to see the perfromance that is best for you, and you don’t miss out. The P&C raffle will be drawn at the Wednesday evening show. Good luck to Skye who is representing in discus, and to Ryan, Sophie, Andy and Camryn who are representing in the Small Schools Relay, on Friday at the Regional Athletics Carnival in Canberra. You have worked hard to improve your personal best for this event and we hope that you enjoy the experience. The chickens enjoyed getting to know us on

Friday. Ideas for names were thrown around- some appropriate and

creative……… Barranguba class took

their clip boards, pencils and paper to sketch the chickens. We will complete our artworks this week.

They will be posted on this page next week

when they are completed.

Dhananj was certainly busy on Friday. Everyone’s hands were working quickly to grate and chop everything finely for

the apple pikelets and citrus marmalade. Maths measurement skills are also

needed when cooking!

The boys enjoy their guitar lessons with Sophia. She tunes the guitars before

they start.

Our Student of the week is: David He has a positive mindset to his learning. David

asks for help if he needs it and helps others when they need it.
