A Peek at the Week We will continue to focus on nature and informational texts. We will read and discuss Unit 3 - Our Earth in our social studies books. Students will learn more about caring for Earth’s natural resources- it’s land, water, air, and plants- and will explore different ways children can conserve and protect them. In math, we will continue with Topic 11 - Three Digit Addition and Subtraction. Students will learn ways to add and subtract three-digit numbers. Students will be assessed on Wednesday. Spelling Our spelling list will consist of 10 spelling words with silent consonants. Students will also be responsible for the word wall words. Please take 10 to 15 minutes each night to help your child work with these words. All students will be provided with a sack lunch from the cafeteria, unless they want to bring a sack lunch from home. This field trip is free for all students. We will immediately after we take attendance, and will return at 2:15 pm. Students should wear tennis shoes with their uniforms for the field trip. Parents that will be attending will be helping to supervise children, along with the classroom teachers. You will need to bring a sack lunch from home, unless you would like to purchase a sack lunch for $5. If so, please let your child’s teacher know as soon as possible. We are looking forward to a great field trip experience!! We want students to have the skills to deal with situations that make us upset. We want students to know how to remain in control. Our field trip to the Children’s Discovery Museum in Normal, IL is scheduled for this Thursday, April 30th. All students will be provided with a sack lunch from the cafeteria, unless they want to bring a sack lunch from home. This field trip is free for all students.
