Intro to AesopIn districts that manually call substitutes, many subs are powerless to find a job until they are contacted by the secretary, often at short notice. Even with a phone-based sub-calling system, subs are dependent on a phone call to find work.

That’s why we developed Aesop.

Aesop pioneered and patented the integrated phone and web technology that allows you to proactively search for and accept jobs online or over the phone.

With Aesop, you can:

Search for jobs via phone or web• Look for jobs online on your Aesop home page

• Call in to Aesop to find available jobs or wait for Aesop to call

Customize your settings• Add non-work days

• Set work preferences

• Manage personal information

Gain control of your schedule• Tell Aesop when to call

• View your schedule in advance

• Search for jobs in multiple districts

Increase communication with the district• Receive web alerts from the district

• Get email reminders of upcoming jobs

Receive quality assistance when needed• Access self-help guides and videos posted online

• Contact a trained Aesop Administrator at your district

Jobulator: Aesop Notifications for Substitutes

“Jobulator makes getting my assignments so easy! I don’t have to keep checking Aesop – Jobulator does the checking for me. I can concentrate on [other things] rather than stopping frequently to check the website for available jobs.”

– Ann Marie L.

Jobulator Mobile App

Get Jobs Anywhere with Jobulator! Before Jobulator, many substitutes were spending hours in front of the computer, constantly refreshing the screen to find new jobs in Aesop. Substitutes told us they were missing jobs when they weren’t near their computer and needed an easier way to be notified of and accept jobs through Aesop.

That’s why we built Jobulator. Jobulator regularly checks for new jobs in Aesop and then notifies you when jobs become available! The Jobulator subscription includes a desktop version and a mobile app for Apple and Android smartphones and tablets, making it easy to find and accept jobs.

WHAT DOES JOBULATOR MEAN FOR SUBS?• Stop having to constantly check for jobs• Don’t feel “chained” to your computer• Stop missing jobs when you’re not near your computer • Accept jobs on the go from your smartphone or tablet • Set preferences to get notified for the jobs you want• Sync your jobs to your personal calendar

Keys to SuccessAesop is designed to make it easy for you to work the jobs you want. Here are a few tips to help you find the jobs you enjoy and keep your schedule as filled as you would like.

1. Proactively Fill Your ScheduleMost employee absences are entered the day before the absence occurs, but teachers can enter absences far in advance. Depending on your district’s settings, you can find available jobs days, weeks or even months in advance.

To proactively search for jobs, you can:

• Call in to Aesop toll-free at 1-800-942-3767• Log in online at www.FrontlineK12.com/Aesop

2. Manage Your PreferencesTake control of your work life by choosing any Non-Work Days, specifying your Preferred Schools and adjusting Call Times to fit your schedule. The broader you make these preferences, the more job offers you will see.

Also, be sure to set up a Multi-District PIN so you can see jobs and manage your schedule for all the districts in which you work.

3. Work Well ConsistentlyThe good news is that the best way to keep getting job offers is to keep substituting and doing a good job! Depending on the district’s settings, teachers can influence how many job offers you get by leaving feedback on your performance, requesting you for an absence or adding you to their list of preferred substitutes.

Do everything you can to make a great impression!

The BasicsFind Available JobsYou can check for new jobs on the Aesop website in several ways.

The black bar at the very top right of your home page has an “Available Jobs” button and a green circle that indicates the number of currently available jobs for you.

Clicking the gray “Available Jobs” tab under the Aesop logo will also take you to a list of currently available jobs for you.

Clicking any day that is green on your calendar will bring up details for the available job(s).

Finally, the “Available Jobs” tab under your calendar also displays your currently available jobs.

Manage Your Work Calendar Your calendar is color coded to show the different types of days.

Click on an individual day in the calendar to see information about that day. If you see an available job, you can accept or reject it right from there.

You can also view your upcoming work on the “Scheduled Jobs” tab and your previous work on the “Past Jobs” tab – both below your calendar.

Receive NotificationsYou can get important messages (called “web alerts”) from your district by clicking on “Notifications” at the top right of your home page. The green circle indicates new messages from your district.

Setting Your PreferencesThe Non Work Days tab under your calendar is where you can set up days for which you do not want to see job offers. The number in parentheses shows how many non-work days you have upcoming or in the past 30 days.

You can change your personal information, PIN, preferred schools and call times under the Preferences tab at the top of your page.

You can also click on your name at the top right of your home page to go to the Preferences page.

Under your Preferences, you can choose a list of Preferred Schools where you do or do not want to work.

You can also customize the Call Times when you want to be called by Aesop on any given day.

Multi-District PINA Multi-District PIN allows you to see jobs and manage your schedule for all your districts by logging in with just a single PIN.

Creating a Multi-District PinAesop automatically identifies you as a multi-district substitute when it detects matching information (first name, last name, phone number) for you in more than one district. When you log in to Aesop, a message will prompt you to create a PIN.

Enter a six-digit multi-district PIN of your choosing. You can use this PIN with your ID number to access Aesop for any of your districts and when you receive calls from Aesop.

After you’ve created your PIN, Aesop will prompt you to add the districts you want from those that have been automatically detected.

If Aesop does not prompt you to create a multi-district PIN, it may be because your phone number, first name and last name do not match. Go to your preferences section and choose District list; from there, you can create a multi-district PIN and add your districts.
