Music Therapy at the Veterans Hospital in Elsmere
Jim Coty, Chief of the Volunteer Services Department at the VA in Elsmere, is initiating an old idea with a new application…
Music Therapy. The music initiative will involve Piano. Music is calming! Listening to piano is known to lower blood
pressure and improve your mood. It is relaxing! The music program is intended to have positive outcomes for all while they
are entering the facility…Volunteer Pianists are needed. Pianists will be needed to perform, free of charge, approximately
8:30am to 10:30am, Monday through Friday in the main lobby of the Veteran's Hospital. Types or genre of music,
availability of hours, duration, split shifting are typical questions. Call Jim Coty-302/994/2511--- extension 4545.

SOME COMMENT AND QUESTIONS REGARDING THE RECENT ANTI-ABORTION NEWS
Many... and in a lot of demographics... people don’t want to discuss these matters. I am the opposite.
What is Pro-Life? Pro is defined as positive, affirmative , supportive of, etc.
What is “con”….perhaps the opposite of the line above.
What is life? Defined as viable, living, mortal, ….not deceased.
What is homicide? Legal term for the ending of a life of a natural person.
What is “abortion”? To cease an action, to stop a process, to commit homicide.
What is Pro-Choice? To advocate and support the free-will choice of either allowing a human life to remain viable or to disallow that.
Where in the US Constitution is there a written guarantee that a pregnant woman may elect to procure the “death” of a viable human person not yet relocated outside the womb...AKA Birth? {as many politicians decree}
By what authority does any government entity set the timing of creation of human life?
Government entities issue a Certificate of Birth and with that “certification”, the birthed human person is entitled to the protection of the Constitution and all other applicable statutes. According to government entity, a minute or more prior to birth, this same viable human person is assumed not to be “certified” and therefore not entitled to the same rights as the person who has been “born”!
What is the nature of the DNA as determined by scientific and medical study of the existence of the unborn human person? An amphibian, fowl, dog, etc.?
What is actually a Certificate of Birth? A piece of paper that some government entity grants to a “relocated child” that entities the birthed to a Social Security number and entitlement to grants as provided in the Constitution. Does this Certification state the name and sex and parent’s names...most likely! Does this same Certification affirm that the birthed subject is also a human person? Why to these certifications not refer to the human condition prior to the event of birth? Of course not. The courts, politicians and governments in general of themselves do not have the moral authority to define sanctity of life prior to “birth”.
When one decries laws that place serious restrictions on “abortions on demand” using the argument that a woman is being denied “medical care” ….where is the medical care? Is there a medical care necessity founded upon the existence of an adverse medical condition….or this the “adverse medical condition” the inconvenience of child bearing and responsibility of after-birth child rearing?
TV shows people carrying signs as: KEEP ABORTION LEGAL. Freedom of speech...OK. However the synonym of abort is “kill”. Maybe the signs should state: KEEP MURDER LEGAL. I wonder how that would make for TV? Do these protesters realize that words mean something and how foolish they sound?...or is killing of unborn children the norm??
All the above questions and comments do not reference religion. That was intentional!!
There is some logic in digesting the above comments...to inject Christianity ….makes politicians MOOT!
