For the 17th consecutive year, the CEMS Club Vienna

and the CEMS Alumni Association Austria will host the

infamous CEMS Waltzing Days, which will take place

from January 9th to 13th 2019. As always, the highlight

of the program will be the elegant WU Ball at the

Hofburg Palace of Vienna. You will have a chance

to discover and enjoy the beauties and traditions

of Vienna together with fellow CEMS students and

alumni.

THE PROGRAM IN DETAIL

The kick-off event of the CEMS Waltzing Days

will be a visit to one of the leading opera houses in the world - Vienna State Opera. We

will have an opportunity to explore the

opera’s magnificent interior and witness the performance of the world-class artists

alongside the permanent ensemble members and the unique orchestra. On that evening,

they will perform the Andrea Chénier opera

composed by Umberto Giordano.

Friday night is all about networking and

enjoying food & drinks. We will have a

traditional Austrian dinner at Zwölf

Apostelkeller, where students and alumni will

get to meet each other. After that, we are

going to start the weekend with delicious

cocktails* at Motto am Fluss, overlooking the

Danube in a trendy atmosphere.

On Saturday morning it is time to bring out

your dancing shoes at Vienna’s prestigious

dancing school Elmayer. There you will be

taught how to perfectly waltz over the dance

floor and be prepared for the night ahead.

Are you already a dancing pro? No problem,

since the classes will be offered for both the

beginners and the advanced dancers.

The highlight of the CEMS Waltzing Days, the

famous WU Ball at Hofburg, will take place on

Saturday evening. Already dressed-up we are

going to get together for drinks & snacks at

the Ellas restaurant.

We will then join the ball where our own table

in the Zeremoniensaal is waiting for us. Then it

is time to take a step back in time, enjoy the

glamorous atmosphere of the WU Ball and

waltz the night away…

After a long and unforgettable ball night, the

traditional Viennese Brunch* on Sunday is

going to take place at the eminent Café

Landtmann. Known as “the most beautiful

Café of Vienna” with its welcoming

atmosphere and cosy elegance, it is the

perfect way to end the CEMS Waltzing Days.
