Year 6 Gradua ng Students

On Wednesday evening, 9th December, a special Farewell Dinner with parents and staff members was held at the Kandos Returned Services Community Club for our Year 6 students. Seventeen Year 6 students will now progress to the next stage of their educa on at High School. We wish each and every student all the best for the future.

Ms Kylie Duffy

It is with great sadness that this week we farewell our much loved and valued Assistant Principal MC and teacher, Ms Kylie Duffy. Ms Duffy has been a valued staff member at Kandos Public School since 2005 and many children in the community have had the privilege of having her as their teacher. It has been a true privilege for me to work alongside Ms Duffy who is a devoted, caring, enthusias c and well organised professional and one who exudes a wonderful outlook on the world. Though we are sad to farewell Ms Duffy, we are also excited for what the future holds for her as she commences her posi on of Assistant Principal MC at Gulgong Public School in the new school year. All our love and best wishes go to Ms Duffy from Class Sapphires and the students and staff of Kandos Public School.

Mr Tom Seijka

This week, we will also be farewelling Mr Tom Seijka, our Class 3/4 Onyx teacher. Mr Siejka commenced working at Kandos Public School at the beginning of this year. It has been a great honour to have such a proficient, skilled and capable teacher commence his teaching career at our school. On behalf of Class 3/4 Onyx and the students and staff at Kandos Public School we wish Mr Seijka all the best with his future endeavours.

Our final school event of the year took place today. At Kandos Public School we are proud to say that we have never let a

year slip by without holding a Whole School Performance. Students and staff held true to tradi on and as they put on

‘Kandos Christmas’ in front of a student and staff audience. Music, Costumes, lights, fun and an cipa on….it was all there.

Congratula ons to all our performers for gi ing to us the true feeling of Christmas.

Mr Tod Morley

Principal

There is Christmas cheer around

us this bright day at Kandos

Public School. There is the jingle

of bells, a fes ve hum and the

feeling of goodwill and joy in the

air. Holidays are on the horizon

and we are in the mood to dance

and celebrate this jolly season.

It’s me to think about gi ‐

giving, gingerbread houses,

mistletoe, baubles and nsel. We

hope that our performance

today sparks happiness and

peaceful reflec on a er the

tumultuous year that was. As

2020 comes to an end, the

lessons learnt should never be

forgo en and we must con nue

to always take care of ourselves,

each other and the community.
